Isolated Yeast (Tree House): How to Identify and Characterize?

I've been reading through this thread for a couple weeks now. So is everybody pretty much on the same page and thinking they mix yeast and ferment everything all together? Or can they be fermenting in different fermentors each with a different yeast and blending the finished beer at the end?

    New Anvil Bucket Fermentors

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F273050633898 I got the gas post here. Comes with the bulk head and o ring. Just used a standard 1/2 drill bit for the hole.

    New Anvil Bucket Fermentors

No pressure transfer yet but I don’t think it’ll be a problem. I’ve seen multiple people do it on the SS brew buckets which pretty much have the same clamps. Just have to be careful to just give it enough pressure to get the beer moving.

    New Anvil Bucket Fermentors

So I added a gas post to the lid to be able to purge the fermenter with CO2 whenever I open it or do a pressure transfer. Used a gas post on a 1/4 inch bulkhead. Drilled a 1/2 inch hole and threaded in perfect!

    Perplexing problem with carbonation

I've overfilled the keg before and the CO2 didn't have enough head room for it to absorb into the beer.

DIY hop spider, using reclaimed filter

Dude there are way better websites to be a troll on. I don't get why you chose a home brew forum, especially one that has so much real knowledge and information. BOO THIS MAN!!

    Bootleg Biology Funk Weapon #2

Where the funk should be a good substitute, not sure if its the same strain but the descriptions pretty much sound identical.

    Bootleg Biology Funk Weapon #2

I've done a couple kettle sours and I don't change much other than different variants in hops. I stick with the big fruity, big aroma hops like citra, mosiac, galaxy for hoppy sours. I don't add bittering hops to any of my sours, most bacteria is very IBU sensitive. The hibiscus was good at 6...

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

I'm on the fence between building my own or purchasing the brew boss version. Money doesn't seem like an issue since they're both about the same price. Pros for the brew boss version is its pre built and fits right on my pot, but the con is the 1/2 inch opening for the steam to pass through...

    Bootleg Biology Funk Weapon #2

@SanPancho I got you. DM your address, shipping shouldn't be that bad. Maybe we could just trade some home brew or commercial brew and call it even.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Question to all those questioning the utilization of bagged hops. I bag my kettle hops since i have a plate chiller and don't want to worry about clogging it but at the end of my steeping time I pull the bag out and squeeze all the hop juice goodness out of it. Does everyone else do this? If you...

    New Anvil Bucket Fermentors

Kegged my first beer out of the 7.5 bucket and the fermentation and kegging went smoothly. Very happy with it easy clean up ready for the next batch. Would recommend to anyone looking for a SS fermenter, for the price I don't think this can be beat.

Dec 17 BYO response to Mash pH questions

I enjoy Brulosophy but i could already see the outcome. Not enough people could tell the difference and there's always one person who could tell the difference but has no preference in either beer. :)

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I bought a six pack of Epics New England IPA (new to me have never seen it before) 1 week ago to this day, which i enjoyed. It had good color, taste and aroma. Went back yesterday and got the same beer, poured the first can and it was an oxidized mess. Crazy how in just 1 week a decent beer...

classic west coast style IPA recipe

I have a double west coast IPA fermenting right now. I went with Simcoe and Amarillo to give it that classic big west coast floral aroma with a little fruityness. I don't use crystal in my IPA's I feel it gives it a horrible color (oxidized brown) and raisin taste. I use victory or munich...

Pliny-ish DIPA with two different yeast strains

Cool test really shows the difference in yeast strains (?) between companies. I was under the impression that the chico strain or pretty much anything labeled west coast could be interchangeably since its such a neutral yeast. This just shows the difference if one of your favorites is WLP001 but...

    IPA burnout

You're more than qualified! Like I said no pun or negativity in my question, just curious. You were drinking IPA's before i even knew i liked beer, I could see why the burn out would come. Especially when IPAs exploded and every brewery was playing into the IBU war. I only have a couple years in...
