What I did for beer today

Those elements are basically the same as HLT and BK elements. I simply use used Star San that was mixed at a ratio of 1 ounce to 5 gallons of water. I say used but I'm talking about slightly used. My kegs are Sanke Sixtels. In my cleaning process with them is 1st a hot water rinse 2nd fresh...

What I did for beer today

@ba-brewer sorry for the delay responding to your question. I simply let the Star San solution sit in the kettle over night to work. My element is also held in with a tri clamp but I'm lazy. I only remove it about every third batch or so. After it has soaked I remove it brush it down with a...

WLP925 White Labs High Pressure Lager Yeast thread

Although I haven't tried wlp 925 I do ferment under 15 PSI with wlp 820, Chico 1056, 34/70, US O5, US 04 and Czech 2278 regularly. Additionally though, I adhere to strict temperature requirements for fermentation as directed by the yeast packages. I have yet to have a problem with any of my...

It removes almost all of the build up and what doesn't simply fall off is very easy to brush away...

What I did for beer today

I finished making my Ipa (pronounced E-pay) tap handles, got the hardware attached and installed them on the taps. I think the uniform size and design looks better than hodge podge collected handles plus they are uniform size and function great.

    What are you drinking now?

The beer for which I brew. I absolutely love Pilsner Urqell. I brew it 3 or 4 times each year. I do it as SMSH as I only use Bavarian malt, Saaz Hops and Czech yeast. And I do a triple decoction mash to obtain the closeness in flavor profile. Additionally I brew a Lager that I call Taterbrau...
