Sadly, I don’t have a TDS meter. that’s part of what I’m trying to figure out is where best to spend my money. I’ve got a pH meter...but it doesn’t read TDS.

I visited a local Minneapolis brewery today and tasted a number of their beers. Some were very good, but every single beer with mosaic hops tasted catty and sharp to me. It was awful, made worse by the fact that they use mosaic in *a lot* of their IPAs I get an off flavor every time I eat...

Installing a new line is super simple. If you’ve got spare space on your breaker panel, I’d recommend doing it.

You’ll want to tell him what kind of amperage you’re looking to pull so that he can make sure that your breaker and wiring are rated correctly. I’d recommend upgrading to a GFCI BREAKER.

Ok. I need more info: You’re fermenting a lager in kegs, right? What method are you using to release CO2 as it ferments?

I’ve been told that Mosaic changes flavor profile the longer it stays on the bines. Earlier harvest mosaic is wonderful. Late harvest becomes catty.

I gave up on my Blichmann and bought a WilliamsWarn bottle filler. It was spendy, but I swear it will save me time and money in the long run. Case in point - I bottled two cases of ale yesterday and only had about 4 oz of waste. It took me 30 minutes.
