Where did you "hear" that? ZZHops is great and new people go to the meetings all the time. You should think about going to a meeting and forming an opinion for yourself before bashing it on a homebrew forum. Jeff

I ferment in 6.5 gallon carboys for primary and do not do a secondary. Here is my Scotch ale chugging away. I just keg or bottle right from the primary.

I have seen a few people on here bend the shelfs out of the way. But there is a risk in doing that.

Do you use whole hops? I would think the false bottem with whole hope would filter everything while you are whirlpooling. If you don't want to use whole hops then you would have to do a side pickup but then you would end up leaving some wort behind. I had mine on the side but I now try to use...

I use a bottom drain MLT with a full false bottom. I have no issues with it not being bolted down. Edit: I also just used a 2" tri clover to 1/2" NPT so the only hole I had to cut was the top ( which is really the bottom ) False bottom from jaybird and tri clover fitting from brewershardware.

Right now they have a coupon going through The Brewing Network for $175. Not sure when it goes until though. But I think you will have to consider lowering your price to at least $175 or less.
