How much do you oxygenate wort?

I also use the $10 bottles from HW sore. On my first bottle I was wasting too many big bubbles at the top and got like 5-6 brews. I adjusted and on current bottle I have done 21 brews aerating 35-60 secs. I always remove regulator at the end. For about 50 cents per brew this is a lot better than...

    Tap tower cooling with air?

I have seen people use like a coozie to insulate the tower. They sell them.

Can I add gelatin to fermentier?

I cold crash my carboys to 33F then add gelatin. Try to leave it there 2-5 days. At the end I get a tightly packed pancake at the bottom. I close transfer to keg and get clear beer by the 3d glass and super clear by second or third day. Next day on my top draft keg. Only use it for red/ambers...

    Refractometer Creep?

I think you need to cool to the calibration temp specified for it when which probably will not be room temp. Mine is 68F.

Used Tilt for the first time

As I mentioned mine measures on average the same below. So if it reads 1.007 I know the hydro FG will read 1.010. No biggie. The bets asset to me is the chart showing what happens. This is one of my brews showing ferm and cold crash. I rise temp a little towards end of ferm then shut it down.

Ok. Maybe you know what a Grainfather unit is? Robobrew? Just like that.

Used Tilt for the first time

I have two. Both read +/- 0.003-0.004 lower. This is from 40+ brews with them. I always take an og/fg with hydro too.

    does this crush look alright?

That would be a stuck sparge in mu M&B. But if it works for you then great. I get 90%+ with way more coarse than that.

1st all grain need some help

Great system. I have done 50 awesome brews with it already. Never done a sour (don't like them) so can't help there. Just watch the temps as usually there is a 2-5°F difference (higher) from the panel reading. Good luck!

    Obligatory New Brewer Post

Ja! That is quick seriousness! Welcome to the hobby. After one+ year I make amazing beers that all my friends want to buy. I share a lot with them but I cannot brew a 5gal to sell unless it is $5 a pint. ;-)

    Confirming assumption on hops additions

I have done 50 brews in last 1 1/2 year and most brew instructions show a table of hops additions at boil 60 and 5. 60min for bittering and 5min for aroma. I assumed that the aroma hops are added at the boil at the last 5 minutes (most cases). Is this correct? Reason I ask is that using...

    Is this grain milled?

I love AIH as they are local to me and are great people. But their milling sucks. I brew three batches like that until I posted pictures just like yours here. Bought a cereal killer and my conversion efficiency went from 60s to high 90s b
