    Budwieser brewing is hard.

bu gee you probably were traumatized with their hard work. Pilsners beers can taste good and pilsner grains are used in several types of beer.

    Budwieser brewing is hard.

I just saw a commercial that said brewing bud beer was hard work? For years they must have been tormented. Should we send them some homebrew to relive them and ease their souls?

by product clean up time, what's the truth?

When I asked this question I was given a range of time as well. The consensus was it can depend on several things. Type of beer, how it's been brewed, what your taste says, and fermentation. For type of beer IPA will tend to be the shortest to tall beers taking the longest. I have found I can...

    Rotating sanitizers?

Jeffin Sweet. Thanks for the info. It looks like it still could be possible but unlikely so I will rotate. With my luck this would be the lotto I would win.

    Rotating sanitizers?

Pyg since bacteria does change to it's surroundings to survive I am afraid this could happen over time.

    Rotating sanitizers?

Should you rotate different sanitizers? It's brew day and I realize I'm grabbing Star San to clean everything because it is easy and convenient. Then I though could I be building up strains of bacteria that eventually would be able to resist it? It's winter and my house has been shut up...

    What is the best water?

After dealing with a couple of different city water treatment plants this is what I have found. One invited the idea of bringing in water to be tested. Actually encouraged it and worked on understanding the differences of water tested at the plant and water brought in down the line. The other...

    What is the best water?

I see so much frustration with water in getting it tested that I'm stumped.? If you really want to know your waters levels don't most people need to test every batch before they brew? Why not save the testing and ? on other chemicals that may be in it and use pure water? Then add what you want.

First All Grain Brew Day - Water Chemistry Help

I did notice the pH was 9 and that seemed to high. To high without something being added. I'm really big in stripping the water clean and then adding what I want in it. This way I know what's in it. That is my 2 cents.

If you have brewed before and had body look to your notes to see what has changed. Where did the body drop? New equipment , new recipe, different fermentation temps?

    Aquarium water heat

I would highly recommend you use an accurate thermometer to do additional test on the water temperature. Most aquarium heater I have found are not totally accurate. Also adding a small pump to circulate the water will help keep the temperature consistant with higher room temperature swings.

Getting the taste you want out of yeast.

I'm thinking this is a yeast usage issue? I made a Belgium Wit beer that I liked the taste but wanted more spice flavoring out of it. I modeled it after a beer I liked from years ago. After brewing I found the beer I had before. It was a Saison from Brasserie Dupont called Foret. When I...
