First Mexican Lager, need some clarification

Just curious, what beer are you shooting for? Corona? Modelo especial? XX lager? I made a Negra Modelo (type) Mexican lager and it was very good. Keg kicked way before my cinco de mayo celebration. Ended up making another batch, but 2 kegs worth this time. Lagering can be as quick as 2 to 3...

Wanted: 3 white labs yeast vials

They also won't have the label residue on them like the yeast vials. Those labels are a pain to get off. Also if cap color matters, any soda bottle cap will fit them.

We no need no stinking beer gun...

#3 stoppers fit a lot tighter in a bottle. If the #2 goes too far in, try a #3. Also, you can get a tighter fit by using a solid stopper and boring a hole in it (drilling rubber stoppers doesn't work well).

    Line Length

Yes, 16 ft is reasonable. Plug your numbers into this calculator and trust the number it gives you. http://www.mikesoltys.com/2012/09/17/determining-proper-hose-length-for-your-kegerator/

Glass? These are the same exact vials that White Labs used. White Labs did not use glass to my knowledge.

How about some physics talk? mechanical engineering?

I switched to just check valves. I got some decent ones like these because I was convinced that the cheap shutoff/check valves were junk and leaked. Since I've switched, my co2 tank hasn't budged. I don't know if these are the exact ones I got, they are at least similar. The have a very low...

    Elusive CO2 Leak

I got rid of my shut-off/check valves in favor of check valves only and have been good ever since. Those shut-off valves are cheap and I think they are the weak link in a co2 system.

    Mission impossible - bottling NEIPA!

I'm in the process of testing a bottle filler that I built that aims to solve the problems of bottling beer from kegs. I have an ipa fermenting right now that I'll test to see how the hoppiness holds up. I'm trying to get some test runs done before I post it claiming it works wonders. So far...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Usually around like an 1/8 to 1/4 cup dissolved in the least amount of water possible (1/8 cup to 1/4 cup) heated in microwave til dissolved. I don't really stick to a specific measurement, just add enough to start a bit of fermentation. This has been enough to pressurize the keg after a few...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I dry hop once in the fermenter, then transfer to a keg with another round of of dry hops, and a bit of sugar. After 4 or 5 days in the keg w/hops, I transfer to a serving keg.

    Kegerator

You could transfer to the keg as primary fermentation is winding down. Then let it finish in the keg and build up some natural carbonation. Of course if you do this it's a good idea to pressure transfer to a new serving keg before serving.

    Intertap beer faucets

I had a piece like this machined to fit in my perlick 630ss. I thought about seeing if anyone else was interested in something like it. Not sure what they would have to cost to make it worth my machinist making them. I had it made for the counterpressure bottle filler that I made (which I have...

    Need some grain storage assistance.

5 gallon buckets. Preferably something food safe. Could get expensive if you had to buy a bunch of them. I have 8 grain storage buckets. I wasn't able to find the free buckets that people talk about, so mine ran around $7 each with lids from home depot (white buckets). There is debate on the...
