    Vevor fermenter reviews?

Anyone have ideas for cooling with these fermenters. I like the SS Brewtech for their cooler that they sell but Vevor is so much less expensive

    Burner Help

My gosh my KAB4 is incredible. A 4” burner will definitely do a 5 gallon batch but will add EASILY 30-60 minutes to your brew day. When I changed to the KAB4 combined with my exchilerator (I was previously using a 25’ immersion chiller), I’m down to about 4 1/2 hour brew day (previously about 6-...

Ask A Pro: Do you aerate your wort?

I have an in-line oxygen stone attached to my exchilerator. I go from 10 gallons of wort in my brew kettle at 212 degrees to fermenter at 68 degrees fully oxygenated in 9 minutes. Then pitch my starter and I have airlock activity in about three hours.

Ship beer vs fly with it?

Hey guys, I live in Shelby, NC and am flying to Montana do some fly fishing in August. I was wondering if it’d be cheaper/more efficient and legally-er (that’s a word I promise) to pack a few bombers in my checked suitcase vs shipping the bombers there. Also, I just realized this thread will...

PH meters that are easy to store, affordable, and accurate at mash temps?

Well then why do you use strips? All the strips I’ve seen tell you the pH by the whole number. But you don’t want your mash just to be 5.0 or 6.0 or whatever. You need it accurate to 5.2 or 5.4, etc That’s why I was asking.

    What brands do you recommend?

    So what next?

I currently make big yeast starters with a stir plate. What else do you recommend? I’ve thought of growing my own with agar plates. I also oxygenate during kettle to fermenter transfer. I usually get airlock activity within a couple hours of pitching.

    So what next?

So I’ll get a water profile mailed out this week. Then should I get a meter? Aren’t the nice ones a couple hundred??

    So what next?

Been brewing a few years now; probably 150+ gallons under my belt. I’m trying to figure out what’s my next big improvement for my brewing. At this point, this is what I’ve done. - I have a nice brew cart that holds everything I need for brew day. - I have a big burner that heats up 15+...

Have you found strips that give ph values to the tenth and hundredth decimal place?

I feel I’ve heard that sentence before but instead of craft beer, it was housing market. Lol [emoji13]

    Starting a nano brewery

I toured Sierra Nevada yesterday and it’s crazy to think they can brew 3 to 4 batches of 200 barrels each every day!

    Mash temps?

Trying to learn my mash temperatures better. So for an IPA like the photo attached, I should mash at 152 instead of 154? (I usually mash at 154 but once again I’m learning more and more).

    Counterflow chiller....plumbing and mount??

I have mine mounted on my brew cart. I will post a picture later this week. By the way, invest in an oxygen tank and run an in-line oxygenation stone. It’ll make your yeast very happy. ProMaker Home Brewing Stainless... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07G79HLQT/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20

    Brewing with new equipment

Brewing this recipe of mine tomorrow for the first time. Also, I got some new toys and will be using an exchilerator with an in-line oxygen stone for the first time. I can‘t wait to see how much my yeast starter loves it and also how much time will be knocked off not having to use a 25’...
