    Citrus in secondary

My suggestions, though I am new too 1) a nice lemon flavor can be done with 2 lemons, peeled into long strips (skin, no white pith) 2) not sure how orange and lemon would play together

Help with Hot Fermentation and adding flavors

I have a beer in a 82* water bath, and my sg is 1.012. I think it is getting close to finishing but then what? I want it to clear a bit and and some ginger and lemon flavoring. Do I leave it in the hot water bath, or do I pull it out and let it sit in my 62* basement?

    Hazy Beer using Pilsen DME?

I have a beer hot fermenting (80 degrees) using 6# Pilsen dme, 1oz of hops, and wyeast 3726. It has been in a tub since Saturday in a hot water bath and I had really active fermentation or three days, but now there is no activity coming out of the airlock. I know, I know take a gravity...

Northern Brewer - Dry Dock Urca Vanilla Porter Pro Series

I have it in bottles now, and I went the partial mash route. I found it quite hoppy a week ago, but yesterday when I bottled it I thought it was great. I did not place all five beans in secondary; I soaked them in a bit of vodka and added half the vodka a week ago. We tasted it yesterday and it...

    Five Gallon Igloo Mash Tun

Thanks, it looks quite nice! My brew partner and I are looking to go to all grain, but we will stick to five gallon batches. We still need a burner and a bigger kettle...tempting...especially since you are pretty local.

Best way to add some Citrus to a Spring Ale

What about peeling the skin, noth the pith, and soaking that in vodka for a few days. Then add the lemon vodka to the carbon after primary fermentation is done? I did this with vanilla beans with good results.

    Critique my Lemon Ginger Beer

Well, we brewed yesterday. Everything went fine, and we used the wyeast 3726 and the carboy is sitting in a hot water bath at 80 degrees. Fermentation started 10 hours post brewing.

    Critique my Lemon Ginger Beer

I was thinking of using some of my wyeast 3726 farmhouse ale. It is a saison strain, but it does ferment well in lower temps. We may also decide to bump the fermentation temp using a water bath and an aquarium heater. I thought the spicy fermentation temps may play nicely with the spiciness of...
