    She wants my brewery

I read a story once where a guy put fish eggs in the curtain rods in every room of the house. Then his wife got the house as requested in the divorce. Long story short he bought it back from her for next to nothing when she couldn't get rid of the smell and couldn't sell it to anyone else. I...

    Jack Daniels Keg?

A burger joint in Chicago (Kuma's Korner) has Jack Daniels on tap. They use a ton of it when they cook. That would be my guess.

    She wants my brewery

Just give it to her. Brett is an amazing thing. So is ammonia and bleach. I would gladly give you $1 to help you get back on your brewing feet. Homebrew talk fund raiser anyone? Lol.

    While drinking homebrew...

Haha! Went to a new brew pub with a fellow beer geek/ home brewer. We got the sampler of their beers. I thought my buddies lager and IPA were better and he thought my red was better. Now if we only had the money to open our own pub.

Nugget Necter and 75 min IPA for Trade

It's not illegal to mail alcohol. FEDEX allows it. USPS won't. I send bottles all the time to friends across the country. I've got Hopslam, but it seems you've already found some traders. If it falls through, I'm interested.

Possibly transferred to secondary too early...advice?

What was your OG? My guess is the yeast were still swimming in the beer when you transferred.

Possibly transferred to secondary too early...advice?

Relax, don't worry, have a homebrew. Chances are the beer isn't done, but there isn't enough activity to get a vigorous airlock. Give it a week and check your gravity. Then check it a few days later. If the number hasn't moved, you're done.

    Need 3-4 beer styles for a wedding...GO!

I'm buying the ingredients as my gift to my buddy, and he's buying two cases of lite for people drink if they choose. Best part is, at the end of the night, I take what's left in the kegs home with me!

    Need 3-4 beer styles for a wedding...GO!

I'm currently brewing for a wedding June 30th. I've got my IRA about to go in a keg, I'll be brewing BM's Cenntenial Blonde next weekend and then I still have to figure out a 3rd style. Im leaning towards an APA.

    Kegerator build

I've got a small full size fridge converted. Like the kind you'd see in an apartment. It's only about 5 1/2 feet tall and it holds one 15 gallon keg...tightly. I know this because the dude I bought it off of had an empty in it he gave me when I bought it (score!). Holds 3-4 cornies depending on...

    Brewery names--what's your story?

Lucky Brewing Company. "Share life's fortunes" I've had a few brew day catastrophes and every beer turned out fine. My home brewing mentor (old guy at work) told me I'm one lucky brewer. I seem to give away almost half of every batch, so that's where the "Share lifes fortunes" comes from.

    Hops in primary

When ever I do big hoppy beers I use a paint strainer as a hop spider and it keeps 99% of the material out of the BK.

    Hops in primary

No. You'll be just fine. Just cold crash before you go to secondary and again before you bottle or keg.

    IPA stuck at 1.041

Looks like I produced a session IPA. Oh well, it'll do the job. Better luck next time!

    IPA stuck at 1.041

Strike temp 160. I know that's kinda high, but didn't expect it to stall.

    IPA stuck at 1.041

I've heard mixed reviews on using Bean-O to jump start it. Most people say "never again". Anyone use it before?

    IPA stuck at 1.041

3 weeks ago I brewed an IPA with an OG of 1.077. It seemed to stall at 1.042 with 1056(made a starter). After two weeks it was flat lined. I pitched some S-05 last Tuesday and noticed minimal bubbling this week. Today it's STILL at .042 on my hydrometer. What gives? I've had stuck fermentation...

Budget Friendly Control Panel - 2 PID, 2 Element

Very cool man! I've been wanting to go electric, but found myself in the same situation as yourself. Considering your winnings were $750, would that be the total build cost? I'm interested in parts lists and more pictures.
