Anyone know how to carbonate a vintage glass siphon seltzer bottle?

Originally, some would use a vacuum to suck out all the air in the bottle then hold the top under carbonated water to suck it in and fill the bottle. I suppose an easier way might be to use dry ice.

How many square feet is your home brewery?

All the feet in my brewery are somewhat rectangular.

Will there be human footprints on Mars by 2040? If so, who will have done it?

If there is money to be made from it, the problems become less trivial.

Will there be human footprints on Mars by 2040? If so, who will have done it?

I expect we'll be mining asteroids before we have footprints on mars.

    Old FastFerment

FWIW, MoreBeer has "ProperStarter" canned wort and they list 12 month shelf life non-refrigerated.

    Old FastFerment

Not sure what this is referencing. The only "Fastferment" product I've heard of around this board is the plastic conical. Google did not result in anything but the conical either. Is what you have a blend of yeast nutrient, a yeast blend, or some blend of water salts/minerals?

    Recipe Credit?

This is all very subjective. My opine is that if you start with a blank slate and assemble ingredients, that is your recipe regardless of any similarities. But if you take a recipe from elsewhere for inspiration, then credit is due to that inspiration.

Too good of a deal on kegs?

Not entirely correct. Pin lock does have a pressure relief in the lid (even the linked kegs show this). But it does not, usually, offer any manual operation.

Yep. 24.9 a gallon. Included an oil level check, tire pressure check, a wind sheild cleaning, and the store still made a profit.

Measured way to add O2 to wort???

There are numerous varieties of oxygen flow meters. Mostly for medical applications. Can be found on Amazon for as low as $16 but will have to be aisle engineered to fit between regulator and wand. There are also Dissolved Oxygen (DO) meters. These are more pricey and measure the actual amount...

Volume of Water Required for Cooling

I think your approach is viable given your brew size, but it is also dependent on how cold you can get the chill water.

How are these fittings supposed to go together?

I cannot answer this except to speculate that they may expect the backflow valve to be removed, or missing from older versions. My guess was that the dissimilar materials were binding and the softer silicone was being forced to roll by the firmer o-ring.
