    Left hand x right hand thread nipple

    No reason to not connect them. Some manufactures use left hand threads on the high pressure side and right hand threads on the low (regulated) pressure side, while some manufactures use right hand all around. I am not sure of any specific reason why.

    New to stouts...first beergas tank...what PSI/setup?

    Be sure that the restrictor plate is actually in the nozzle of the stout faucet. 30 psi is perfect. It will look like foam when it comes out, but will cascade and settle nicely in the glass. Restrictor plate:

    D-180 has a PPG of 1.032, so if this is a five gallon batch your OG will be increased by a little over 6 gravity points. So your calculated OG would then be 1.056

    Sanitize whatever fits into the neck of the vessel and push the fruit back down into the fermenting mead.     An impeller type pump must always have the liquid above it to prime it. Otherwise, you are looking at a diaphragm type pump that self primes, but none that I know of are capable of the temperatures required for the hot-side brewing process. I'm curious to see the video, do you have the link?

    Yes, all grains are mashed. Correct, toss the hops in as you cut the heat and then proceed with chilling etc. Same applies for the stout.
