    Weird check valve issue...

I'm not certain that I'm understanding. Were any of your kegs filled with StarSan? Or were you just pushing CO2 into empty daisy chained kegs, with StarSan in a beaker at the end? I'm assuming the latter. The check valve in gas disconnect is intended to prevent backflow. In other words, let gas...

Safely pressure fermenting with Spike Flex+

With the three port lids, I decided to get a dedicated 1.5" TC 15 psi PRV with a vacuum breaker, to prevent crushing my fermenter if I forget to pressurize at least a bit with CO2 when cold crashing. The downside to the one I found on Alibaba is that there's no manual pressure release valve, so...

    Braumeister, Brewtools or Grainfather?

I had seriously been considering buying the Bräumeister 20 and had been waiting nearly a year for the newest version to become available in the USA. When it did, I couldn't believe the price hike. Also Bräumeister is primarily designed for brewing normal gravity beers. It seems to do that...

    Need a little help…

Yikes! Did your dad throw you in the deep end when learning to swim? ;)The truth is, you probably saved yourself a fair amount of money by skipping the starter equipment, as long as you stick with the hobby. Cal Common is a good choice for a first brew. Not the absolute easiest, but close. My...

Kegs not carbonated equally in kegorator.

I still suggest experimenting by swapping liquid lines from one keg to the other. Can't hurt to try, being so easy to do. Something else that occurs to me is the possibility that both are under-carbonated and that the one that seems over-carbonated might just be foaming due to a loose...

    Please, pronounce it "wert"!

Webster's has decided that whatever is on common use is correct. Like they think it's okay to pronounce turmeric "too mur ik", conveniently ignoring the first R. I've tried linking a YouTube video of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers singing Let's Call The Whole Thing Off, but for some reason the...

Kegs not carbonated equally in kegorator.

Are you sure it's the beer that's under- or over-carbonated and not differences in the serving lines? Try disconnecting both liquid lines and connecting them to the other keg. Has the carbonation problem switched beers? If so, then that suggests your problem is properly balancing your liquid lines.

Why no higher end picnic taps?

Too big for home use? I have no idea what you mean by that. Works perfectly for me at home. As for another comment about being hard to clean because they've seen people stick the tip in the beer... well... don't stick the tip in the beer. It's easy to clean, in any case. Finally, regarding the...

    Stir plates

I respectfully disagree. I have tried both foil and foam. I much prefer foil. I've had 1L starters in 2L flasks which foamed enough after the stir plate turned off automatically after 18 hours that it fouled the foam stopper. I feel like there's a greater risk of infection with the foam. There...
