    My MASSIVE Craigslist Score!!!

I said GOD DAYUM! Probably a moderately wealthy guy who thought he'd love this stuff, but was too dumb, impatient or it wasn't his thing.

California Common California Common (Anchor Steam Clone) Extract and AG

Long thread for this recipe! Adding this to my queue.... I really want to try this one next, but I need to stop being selfish with my recipe choices and brew something for my wife or a party or something. :P

Batch #3 - Please give me recommendations quick (brewing now)

I think I want to only use 2 oz of hops total. Meridian is relatively new. Came out end of 2012 or 2013 I believe. It's supposed have a citrusy and lemon like flavor. I think the light DME will have a high level or perceptive bitterness so I don't want to overdo it. Yeah 5 gallons. It's...

Batch #3 - Please give me recommendations quick (brewing now)

OK. So I just bought a bunch of stuff from morebeer and figure I would experiment and just throw something together. This is batch #3 for me and I'm doing a very partial, partial mash. :P I'm mashing 1 lb of american pale malt right now @ 160 for 30 min. I literally just put the grains in the...

    The slippery slope of homebrewing...

I've spent quite a bit in the past month just getting back into brewing. My initial venture was with a Mr.Beer kit the wife bought me, which DID teach me some fundamentals, but it tasted like ****. I'm drinking my first batch (american pale ale I guess) I brewed in the new carboy right now and...

First Rack: Foamy Sanitizer... OK to leave some residual?

I hit a snag. My digital temp regulator isn't arriving for awhile... can I just leave the freezer door open so it never reaches freezing temps? I don't want the beer to freeze... it looks like even on the warmest setting that the beer will freeze eventually..... any ideas?

British Brown Ale Captain Damage's Nut Brown Ale

I just picked up everything and am going to try this one out. Local shop didn't have the exact same yeast, but I picked up some liquid english ale yeast that the dude said would work fine. I'll bump the thread when it's finished. Cheers

First Rack: Foamy Sanitizer... OK to leave some residual?

Just got a 5# tank exchanged. I figured this would last me ~10 corny kegs from what I read. So I just racked it, applied the c02 to ~30 psi (want it ready by this Saturday if possible) and stuck it in the new Haier 5' cu. chest freezer I picked up. I don't have my digital temp control in yet...

First Rack: Foamy Sanitizer... OK to leave some residual?

Noob here. I'm about to rack my first batch. The sanitzier I used (StarSan) got pretty foamy in the korny. I ran all the liquid out, but there is a lot of residual foam in the keg & the faucet line. Is this OK? Also, OK to throw the c02 tank in my keezer?

Sizing your Chest Freezer for Corny Kegs

Picking up a keezer tomorrow for my first "legit" homebrew. Keg and kit just arrived today.... so excited... will probably throw a small party if the brew turns out well. Cheers to all thread contributors. Will use the cardboard cutout method to determine my choice. Want to stay small, but can...
