Stuck (?) fermentation - Sierra Nevada Pale Ale Clone

Noted. Thank you. It is just that I seem to be consistently missing my FG over the past 2-3 brews (beer tasted fine though) and hence was wondering if there is something systemic that I needed to look into.

Stuck (?) fermentation - Sierra Nevada Pale Ale Clone

Ah! Thank you. I expected that FG because this was (mostly) following the Sierra Nevada recipe that gave 68 as the mash temp. I am yet to dry hop. Will chuck the hops in for 2-3 days and then rack into a keg. Thank you again!

Stuck (?) fermentation - Sierra Nevada Pale Ale Clone

I don't think there is much krausen and I haven't dry hopped as yet. Thank you. Will prob. take a refractometer reading (and correct for OG).

Stuck (?) fermentation - Sierra Nevada Pale Ale Clone

I have a RAPT pill in the fermenter. I guess I should also take a hydrometer reading? Though I have seen that the RAPT pill is fairly accurate. So at least has been thus far.

Ah! Interesting. I did a hazy where all hops were only at Whirlpool and so I just used a spider but I'll consider leaving the bag in. Thank you!

Slightly late to the party (hadn't checked the forum for a while!). Question on the brew bag: did you use it outside the malt pipe or inside? I used one for the first time on my Last brew outside the mash pipe and got fairly good results.

Hullo! Thank you for being so responsive on the forum. As @adyb said, it is curious that the BT probe temp is higher than the inbuilt probe but, the more I think about it, the only likely scenario seems to be that the inbuilt probe's temp is off (A vigorous boil at 97c - at sea level) seems to...

Did a brew with the Gen 4 35 yeasterday - a 10L batch of a NEIPA. Used the HED and Bluetooth thermometer for the first time. Setup: Brewzilla Gen 4 35 L (240V) with the new Heat Exchanger Dish During the mash, put the top plate on and the BT probe went in the middle Thermometer probe was...

Pliers for Getting Caps Off Kegland Disconnects

Ha ha! Perhaps seems obtuse on reading all that but in practice, is fairly simple. Or so I think at least. Do give it a try if you can. Promise it is not all that complicated.

Pliers for Getting Caps Off Kegland Disconnects

Edit: My apologies. I thought the ask was for disconnecting the lines. I see that it is for the caps. Yes, the pliers would work fine though I have found that the simplest way of cleaning them would be to put carbonation caps on soda bottles filled with sanitizer, attach a line, add some...

Pliers for Getting Caps Off Kegland Disconnects

The kegland spanner multi-tool (or this KOMOS tool) has a duotight remover. Works flawlessly thus far.

    Oxebar Keg?

Sorry about the delay. "Them" is indeed kegland. I had a friend coming in from Australia and hence asked kegland if it would be available in the timeframe that he was scheduled to fly out. Unfortunately, it is still not in stock. I did get the 8L keg though and it seems great. I can confirm...

    Oxebar Keg?

I emailed them about the 4L keg and it looks like they haven't received it in stock in their warehouses as yet. It was supposed to be available by December itself but it's Feb and there's probably no saying when we will get it in-stock.

    Banana Bomb

Not sure if this is the right thread but since I saw Hefe, question - I want to use HBC 630 (seems a fairly balanced hop and hefes aren't big on hop character anyway) and the Verdant IPA yeast (from David Heath's video). Any comments on either? Thank you.

Amazing. All the best! Only word of warning: do your temp. tests before you start brewing - I am seeing fairly wild overshooting during mashing.

I'd suggest that you get the jacket and the tubing. Those are absolute must haves. If you do not have any other method of chilling that you use, get the chiller. All the others are unnecessary in my opinion. Then again, I make small batches and so don't really need a pulley system. If you plan...

    Lager vs Kveik: The Test

Update on the beer. Has been at 28c at 10PSI for the past 3 days. The tartness is still there but it seems to be sort of mellowing out, as in, it seems to be more rounded in its tartness. Or maybe I am imagining things. I will let it be for another 4-5 days and report out again.
