Yep just give it some time I normally just wait around 2 weeks but more won't hurt it.

You know you're a home brewer when?

When you walk away from HBT on your computer and instantly pull out your phone to keep reading.

    short yeast starter lag times

It just means you are doing it right! I rarely experience lag times either but I believe some people mistake lack of activity when the yeast are actually working hard. I have only had 1 yeast starter actually have any blow off and all of my others just bubble away with around an inch or two of...

    What we did today.

All I did was lay around and sip my stout whilst trying to overcome this sickness that has hit me pretty hard. I always find beer is better than cold medication :)

I like this time at night on HBT

That seems a bit odd why did they have it in the middle of the week? Do they normally do it this way?

    Corny Fermenting

Yeah I have read that you do not want to fill it up too close to the top or else you will have a mess on your hands. I have found when I use a starter and oxygenate I almost always get blow off but there are so many variables I would just always assume that it is going to happen and plan for...

Minfridge guts to cool keg space

No sorry I don't have any personal experience but I did look into building a keezer. it is not as difficult as it seems as long as you have some tools and a little skill with your hands.

Minfridge guts to cool keg space

I would go with 1.5 to 2" foam and try to mount the hot coils so they are not directly touching anything. Is this going to be in a closed sink space? I am unsure about how it would do in a closed space because the fridges can normally dissipate heat or use a fan to remove excess heat.

Yet another noobs first batch of cider

I would leave the cider longer until the bubbling slows down more. The bubbling when you watch it could be due to disturbing the co2 in the trub layer.

Yeah go ahead the keg lube won't hurt anything and I use it on all of my rubber seals and o-rings.

Would you still brew if it became illegal

I definitely would still do it! I enjoy it way to much. I might decrease he amount I brew though..

    Favorite commercial brew?

Nice sounding brews so far! I am asking out of curiosity and just to hear some names for some I should try out in the near future. The only reason I buy beer is when my homebrew is out or want to try something new.

What equipment are you buying with tax return?

Ha ha I am engaged so I get to spend a little on brewing and toys :) I kind of like the return system because it gives you a little chunk sometimes. I agree with what was said that I would probably spend the money if I had it throughout the year.

    Kegging the Caribou Slobber Ale

I would leave it in secondary for the recommended amount of time and then just carb it at 10-12 psi and wait at least 1-2 weeks before drinking. At least this is what I did.

Full boil for NB Dundalk Irish Heavy kit

Yes full boils are better in every way imaginable. The only thing you do differently is less/ no top off water if you calculated for boil off properly.
