    Difference in carbonation could be another factor too. Higher level of carbonation can create the perception of higher bitterness.

    What I did for beer today

    Kegged up my single hop Nectaron hazy. It was a bit of a pain as I managed to block my Bounce with hop matter about three times due to the filter in my Fermzilla being absolutely caked in it. Ended up blowing that out with some CO2 which sorted things out.

    What I did for beer today

    Sanitised my new keg ready for my single hop DDH Nectaron hazy. Cut my new 3/16 beer lines to lengthy in preparation to re-line my kegerator at the weekend. Did the second set hop on my IPA via hop bong.

    I'd heard that S-04 was Whitbred derived, and I think WHCs own materials on Old English described it as a "comparable", but IME they're not that similar. Interestingly they list another yeast, Bond, as comparable to 007, though the stats for both are basically identical.

    Ordered another 19L corny. Since I converted one to be a solera keg for bretted beer I've been forced to keg up only once I've kicked one and that's resulted in some...overindulgence to get kegs clear, especially with my hoppier beers where I very much don't want them sitting on the green...

    "Death by Antelope" hazy DIPA by Disruption is Brewing. This seems to be part of a collaboration range of "Death by [stuff]", I've had "Death by Steamroller" before. This was fresh into my local bottle shop yesterday, and was a touch green, though still enjoyable.

    Mashing in on a 6.2% single hop DDH hazy using 1/3kg of 2024 harvest Nectaron. Out of my usual Golden Naked Oats so shifted up the gain bill a bit with some torrified wheat and CaraHell. Massively overshot my OG though. 1.064 target, 1.078 achieved (!!!).

    1.35 ml/gal lactic acid in mash too much?

    I've dosed mashes for very pale beers up to 10ml of lactic acid in 7 gallons of mash water. Which is broadly in line with what you're being suggested here. No off flavours or issues.
