    Yeah I used 1318 on a 9 % porter... it came in about 4 to 5 point greater than I wanted so ended around 8.4 %.... I fermented at 64 but started to bump at 72 hrs.... I'm guessing like the conan I probably should have started around 48 hrs. UOTE=surgical_ass;7416236]Slightly off topic...

    I placed the pellets in a bag with floss it was probably half way in the volume of beer. Post were tight. Beer was foaming. Seemed like it was transferring way too quick potentially. I don't think there were any debris issues. I didn't do a starter as I used giga 1st gen if you will.

    Well braufessor, if the conan had attenuated like I wanted I think I might have gotten it right and it's all because of you. By the way, jumping the beer was a mess. Any recommendations... I got major foaming. Not sure what I did wrong or if that's just the nature of the beast.

    Looking for hops suggestions - hoppy blond?

    I did magnum for bittering and galaxy. I will say this... dry hopping was too strong in my blonde and completely overwhelmed the brew. Next time I wouldn't do more than an ounce tops at dry hopping.

    And Yet ANOTHER Yeast Starter Question.

    Did one tonight 150 grams of DME but used 8 cups of filtered water to account for boil off. Boiled for approx 15 minutes landed on 1500 mLs. Poured my yeast cake from prior starter landed at 1800 mLs. Its on the stir plate as we speak.
