    Sanke keg cleaner build

Alright!! More progress made and I changed a few things in my original plans up. I decided to say screw it and go all in. I ended up buying a 3 phase LC Thomsen #4 pump. I added on a VFD controller to control the flow by adjusting the speed of the motor. It's way better on the pump. It runs off...

Need some help with LME brewing.

Then I went ahead and tried it last night with a small 3 gallon all grain batch. I still got a lot of the proteins in the jars that created big nasty looking patty's in the jars. I did this batch as a BIAB so maybe that had something to do with all the leftover proteins going into the jars...

Need some help with LME brewing.

@IslandLizard, Yeah basically what I'm doing is trying to recreate the fast pitch canned wort. There is a whole thread on here about it if anyone wants a read. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/forum/threads/is-fast-pitch-canned-wort-coming-back.637576/page-1 In short, I've taken one of my fast...

Hey guys! Been an all grain brewer for about 7 years now and jumped straight into it. I'm looking to do an experiment making starter wort using LME, dextrose, and a little yeast nutrient. Im not super familiar with extract brewing but have watched a bunch of videos. Please let me know if I'm on...

Weird but good problem but seeking opinions

What temp are you thinking 75°? With glycol, my system drops the temps fast. I can set it for 1° intervals every hour until I get to 68° or 53° for lagers. I do use specialty malts in recipes that they go in like some IPAs, stouts, Cascadian dark ale, etc. I usually add them in towards the max...

Weird but good problem but seeking opinions

@mongoose33 , that definitely seems interesting. I read all about it a while back but to do it right I'd have to upgrade all my new equipment. I've never tasted one brewed that way yet so I guess I'm not completely sold on the hype. Definitely would love to taste some though. @kh54s10 , I use...

Weird but good problem but seeking opinions

Alright I have a question pertaining to my beers. Been brewing for 7 years now. I feel like I'm a pretty advanced brewer. I build all my own recipes, build my water from scratch via RO water, always dial in my pH, etc. I have stainless unitanks running on glycol so my temps stay very precise. So...

California Blichmann 240V Rims rocket and 240V Blichmann tower of power controller

As of now it's still available. I am going to go to my storage by the end of the weekend to see if I have the hop rocket stuff. I don't remember getting that stuff but will check my boxes. It's not included in the original sale but if I find it I will throw it in. I've never used it as I bought...

How do I know if I got a bad heating element?

That's actually not a bad idea. If I cant find a 4 pin extended temp probe, I'll just use a 2"x1.5" tri clover reducer on the top of the RIMS tube and then and elbow that comes out of that and into the kettle. Then I can move the blichmann probe onto the side where it should be submerged, but...
