    Fresh pressed vs store Juice

I have made cider a few times with store juice. All of those fermentations were steady and slow with little to no Krausen. Over the weekend my brew club pressed about 35 gallons of fresh cider. The fresh cider is going crazy in my fermenter. I literally had a cider volcano last night after...

Honey Porter - Honey Addition Options

it is hard to get more than a hint of honey flavor from actual honey because it is almost 100% fermentable. honey will for the most part dry out the beer and boost your ABV. if you are looking for a honey flavor I have heard good things about using honey malt for honey flavor

    All Grain setup

to be honest I would not trust that stand... remember you are dealing many pounds of boiling liquid plus the weight of the kegs themselves. The stand just looks too flimsy for me. It may work fine but to me not worth the sever burn risk

    Electrical wiring question

Can you explain what you mean by a drop cord?? are you talking about an extension cord??? That fan most likely rated to run at 12v DC. Unless you want to see something spectacular and have to but a new fan do not just hook it up to 120v AC. There are 3 or 4 wires in most modern computer fans...

    White Labs Ale Yeast Charts

Wyeast Ale charts are up. there seemed to be a bit more interest in those over the White Labs Lager strains so I got the Wyeast Ales done first. It is interesting White labs seems to have Higher attenuating yeasts but Wyeast seem to have broader Fermentation Temp ranges. Yeast Comparison Charts

    30A plug to 50A receptacle

this if you need the 120.... not to code in the least but would work and don't tell anyone in building maintenance what you are doing a head of time:mug:

    30A plug to 50A receptacle

It depends, are you using the neutral for anything? for example are you splitting off one leg of the 240 to get 120? If that is the case than you are using the neutral for the current return path. If you are not using 120 anywhere in the system than you really don't need the neutral connected...
