I have the option to pick up a used sanyo 4912 or get a new oster 5.0 fridge. Due to some best buy connections, I can get the oster at a nice discount. The sanyo is in good condition. My question is, which one should I get? I am leaning towards the sanyo due to how many people have been pleased...

Are you supposed to be able to see the co2 cloud in the keg? I bought a 10 pound co2 tank off craigslist and I can see the cloud it left after I cleaned my keg. Is this normal?

Is it ok to sanitize bottles in the dishwasher on the heavy heated cycle and heated dry? Also, is it ok to put the sugar (after it has been boiled) into the bottom of the bucket and rack on top of it? Do I need to stir it in? Any advice would be great (it's my first time bottling.)

I am brewing a holiday ale extract right now and have a question. I added the liquid extract and of course it dropped my wort to below a boil. I added the hops after it had all dissolved, but it wasn't boiling yet. Should I start the hour once the boil starts, or when I added the hops? Thanks...

There is nothing like sitting at home and hearing UPS deliver your latest brew kit. I'll be racking my first attempt (Honey Cream Ale) to the secondary tonight and brewing my latest (Special Holiday Ale) tomorrow. Ahh, I love this new hobby.

What about moving to a secondary after 14 days? Does it not help with clarity and taste? How long do you normally bottle condition if you move it from the primary after 14 days?

If I don't rack to the secondary, how long should I leave it in the primary?
