I guess another plus for lining the tun with a Wilser bag, aye? I never thought one of those hopper bolts would vibrate loose. That hopper will get tack welds and I’ll ditch those bolts. Guess Loctite should have been in the assembly schematic.

My monster mm3 tried to eat one of the bolts that rattled loose. No problem, mashed it thinking the shrapnel would sink.

These 2 before I dive into HB Imp Stout. I almost never buy non domestic. MHL still brings me back to the 80’s.

I’m more of a wing it style brewer. I never mix, but use old yeast regularly. Make a starter, sniff, and rock’n roll IMO. What is there to lose? Could make an amazing one off brew!! 🤘

I’d start at .92mm and see how it goes. I don’t brew with an all in one system. I did find that gap to be good for efficiency and no stuck sparges.
