    Fermentation chamber DIY

It's this one: https://kitchencenter.cl/products/refrigerador-undermount-2-0?variant=31722339631159 I really don't think they sell it outside of Chile. It fits a 25L fermenter with space to spare:

Yes! For safety I switched the bottom glass for a piece of wood and some books 😅 I don't do CO2 yet but I'll look into that. Thanks for the feedback.

    What are you drinking now?

I got this recipe from ballast point website. San Diego Pale Ale. Brewed it like a month ago.

    Horrible mistake...or not?

Yes, I've seen in this forum a couple of threads stating low attenuation for Windsor and 1.020 FGs. It might be. But it's been a week at 18°C. I bumped it to 21°C, I'll take another reading on Sunday. If it gets to 1.015, I'll be more than happy. Gladly I had a higher OG than intended, so it...

    Horrible mistake...or not?

Thanks for the feedback. My main concern is the gelatin messing with the beer taste or something during these extra days at room temperature. Cheers!

    Horrible mistake...or not?

I brewed an Irish Red Ale one week ago. I got an OG of 1.052. one week later, it's in 1.020. it's been fermenting @67F. I know this could be normal for a low attenuation yeast like Windsor. But that is not the problem... I usually reach FG in one week, so I readied the gelatin clarifier...and...

    ANVIL FOUNDRY ALL-GRAIN BREWING SYSTEM

I don't have a disc, I recirculate just with the tube, with a very slow flow, and with an extra tube so the wort doesn't splash in the surface. I haven't had any issues.

    Kegging 101.

Hi all, I usually brew 5gal batches, I really love the process but I hate bottling. This Friday I Bottled a batch of APA and I ran into an issue with the hose I used and the bottles ended up with a lot of foam when I filled them. Not expecting anything good from that batch. Also I got an AF...

You are absolutely right. I checked my notes and I realized I misplaced the numbers. The pre boil gravity was 1.052 and post boil was 1.055. Thanks for noticing.

    ANVIL FOUNDRY ALL-GRAIN BREWING SYSTEM

Hi fellow brewers, just finished my first batch and I wanted to share my experience: I bought a recipe from my local brew shop, an Irish Red Ale. Didn’t go with the recipe, but instead I used the AF manual, which indicated 7.5 gal mash for 9 lbs grain, no sparge. I used a brew bag. I hit all...

Show us your compact mobile brew stand

Here's mine! An anvil foundry, loweR pump for wort recirculation. A kettle in a burner for sparging, or to recirculate near frozen water for chilling, through the upper pump.

    Fermentation chamber DIY

Hi, I just got a minifrige and I'll use it as a fermentation chamber during summer. It fits my 5gal fermenter perfectly: I will use an inkbird thermostat and a heating pad. The thing is that I need to get two cables into the fridge and I don't want to leave much space in the door isolation...

    ANVIL FOUNDRY ALL-GRAIN BREWING SYSTEM

I usually go with the BF numbers, with my 3 vessel setup. It caught my eye the difference between strike/sparge, and since it's my first brew using the AF, wanted to get other people's opinions.

    ANVIL FOUNDRY ALL-GRAIN BREWING SYSTEM

HI everyone! I want to pick your brain, and get some insight on where to start. I want to brew an Irish Red Ale in my new AF, using sparge method but I'm curious about the difference in the numbers of strike and sparge water between Brewfather, the given recipe, and the AF Manual, as follows...

    ANVIL FOUNDRY ALL-GRAIN BREWING SYSTEM

Hi, I just got my 10.5gal AF and I'm eager to start brewing! I want to ask you opinion regarding the brewing method... would you rather do the "BIAB" no sparging method, or use a recipe as you would do in a regular 3 step process? I scaled my recipes in BrewFather using the 10.5 AF profile and...
