    Consistently high attenuation

    Have you calibrated/verified the temperatures you are mashing at? A degree or two lower, and you'll get pretty close to complete fermentation. This would be the simplest answer...

    One of my kids said had the exact same problem with "truck." Only ever seemed to come out when we would be driving. With the windows down, and he's sitting that calling Dumb F*** and pointing. Hard not to laugh. Kids are great.

    Zeroes have been typically hard to get before the semiconductor shortage. I read recently they are doing some redesigns to use more common parts. Edit to add they they sell enough units, I'm sure they get preferred vendor support.

    Im running almost seven feet per run, and carbonate at 2.8 to 3.0 volumes.

    Not impressed with BRU-1

    I didnt get pineapple from my smash. I used the rest of my BRU with mosaic to make a WC IPA. I liked that a lot more than the smash.

    Just mashed in a 10% rye IPA that I'm going to hop with Columbus and Chinook and use a belgian yeast on. :rock:

    What are you drinking now?

    I tapped a keg of 45% malt oat IPA last night with nothing but whirpool additions. I think I added like 12-16 oz of hops that 🍺 The really weird thing is it dropped nearly clear. I wouldn't have expected that.

    Star San Melting Plastic?

    I've moved mostly to silicon tubing because of this. And maybe a bit of PTFE tubing. Edit: to add that I'm increasingly cautious around the plasticizers (phthalates) in vinyl tubing. Turns out phthalates are increasingly bad for you.

    Mishaps you are embarrassed to admit...but can here, we're all friends.

    Just last night I brewed a chocolate stout where I threw my toasted cocoa nibs right into my spike brew pot. I didn't think about the fact they would get sucked into my recirc/cooling loop and gum up the works. I mean really gum up the works. :eek: Next time I'm going to use the SS hop balls I have.

    I just finished up my first attempt at a farmhouse. 2-row, organic Azure wheat, orange peal, coriander, and Belle saison (cause I had it).

    What I did for beer today

    I kegged an english ale, then i kegged an stout loosly based on Deschutes Obsidian, then i cleaned three fermenters, wiped out my keezer, filtered water for tomorrow, dry hopped an ipa with 8oz! Ordered more tri clamp fittings, and probably something else…..

    Last pint of a double hopped hopped BRU-1 smash. still not impressed.

    I got a bag of BRU-1 on black Friday to try. Brewed a SMASH with it to learn the BRU-1 flavor. I double dry hopped it, using copious amounts. I've got to say I'm not impressed. It's not a bad hop, but I like others a lot more. I think Lemondrop has much more interesting flavor than BRU-1. Am I...

    What I did for beer today

    Last night I drank the remainder of the mosaic/lemon drop IPA at the bottom of the fermenter. Got a glorious 3 pints of flat IPA :cool:. Kegged the day before.
