    Grain Crusher

Thanks for the info. I ended up buying a Crankandstein mill with the Hopper and Base add-on. This thing is a beast and the name suits it! Probably the last mill I'll need to buy unless I want to upgrade.

    flaked maize substitute

Thanks for the info, Any idea if this can be refrigerated for future use? I'd like to prepare this a day or 2 in advance. Also, doesn't this just clump and sink to the bottom of the mash tun since it's so dense? I'm a little worried about the mash sinking to the bottom into my manifold. Thanks...

    Crankandstein mill

The Crankenstein dude "Don" does accept PayPal, However I don't have an account "for complicated reasons". It was a learning experience for the both of us and I had to share my experience with the home brewing community.

Hello fellow brewers! Just wanted to let people know of an amazing place to get hops! I'm sure most of you probably heard of Hopsdirect.com If not, check it out. The prices are ridiculously cheaper than LHBS. I just ordered 60lbs for $60. That's includes the shipping. At Defalco's the...

    Maximizing Efficiency when Batch Sparging

Efficiency... I have a question concerning this topic. Does efficiency matter to the average home brewer? Can I just follow recipes without worrying about all these calculations? I'm far from a perfectionist and just wan to brew decent tasting beer for cheap. This reminds me a lot of those...

    cleaning copper

I just soldered some copper to put in my keg to extract the wort and it has a black sticky film all over from a label I couldn't fully remove and from the lead free flux. What would be the best solution to remove ALL this crap? I tried vinegar but it didn't seem strong enough. Thanks

    immersion chiller

What size of tubing did you use? my worry is that this tubing isn't as solid as the 1/2" OD pipe. I found 50' of it for $50 at Home Depot. it's a little more than 1/2 the price for 25'. I'll check out Rona later today. They usually have better prices. It's my last step before going All-grain!

    immersion chiller

Good day, I'm trying to build myself an immersion chiller however my Home Depot has crap in stock. The only 50' copper tube I can find is for A/C and refrigerators which means they only have an outter diameter of 1/2" Can I make this work? or should I keep trying to find 1/2" inner...

    bargain fittings

Hey! I just ordered a weldless fitting kit for my cooler and keg conversion and didn't receive a tracking number. The order status on the website said complete. So I called and was given the tracking number. Turns out it was already shipped to its destination. Would anyone have a diagram on...

    Crankandstein mill

Good day, I just wanted to share my experience with purchasing a Crankandstein 2A mill directly from the manufacturer. First off, I'd like to thank Don Obenauer for his outstanding customer service. I put my order in and had no option other than sending a check. I'm located in Canada and...

Good day, Unfortunately my only option for parts is Home Depot. I've tried ordering from bargainfittings but they don't seem to ship to Canada. Would anyone have a parts list from Home Depot so I can convert my keg into a Keggle? Thank you!

    What are you drinking now?

Fuller's London Porter This is probably the best canned beer I've ever had! They sure make a good brew! I'm patiently waiting for my Tazanus Brown to be ready! Why the cool name you ask?? Well... As I was pooring boiling water in my mash tun, my buddy's dog "Taz"'s Anus bumped the bubba...

    Grain Crusher

hey! Thanks for the reference! I actually own one of these pasta machines. I think my wife wouldn't be very impressed to find one of the rollers all grinded up :) I was looking into the the barley crusher. It seems a lot more efficient than the corona Corn grinder. Defalco's sells the corona...
