    2nd batch Question

Welcome to the addiction, or rather, hobby. Looking ofr your second bath with your first in the fermetnro fo only three days indicates you're hooked already! You might try putting a t-shirt on your fermenter and keeping that wet - it will help keep temps down. I brewed 2 - 1 gallon...

adding a drip tray with drain to bar? Clearance?

You'll need enough room for a 1/2 pipe or tube, as well as clearance for the drain fitting and a 90 bend. You might be able to cut a hole in the top of the fridge to accommodate the piping. Or you may want to reconsider the need for a drain. If you're worried about an overfill and the...

    Freezing yeast question?

I decant my yeast completely (just pouring the liquid off) and then add it to a sterilized 50/50 water glycerin mix, give it a good shake, refrigerate for 24 hours, then freeze. So far all my frozen yeast has worked, and I do create a starter with the thawed yeast to insure that it's viable and...

    Mash question on wit

I've brewed a couple wheats/wits and I haven't done a protein rest. They come out hazy from the wheat proteins, but that's what I wanted in my finished beer. I will qualify my experience in that I've not brewed a wheat beer with more than 50% wheat as your recipe indicates. And I would start...

    Freezing yeast question?

You should do a search on freezing yeast here and other brewing sites. There is a LOT of information out there, and if you put the vials you've described in the freezer as they are, you might as well toss them now and not raise your hopes of having viable yeast later.

    Oxygen tank questions

And Williams has a new cool set up for larger tanks. I just bought one and can hardly wait until my o2 cylinders are empty so I can use my welding o2 tank.

    Restricting Pump Flow?

You might try a coiled tube wort chiller for your hose water set into an ice bath and run the cooling water through it, then into your wort chiller. Or to control the flow out of your pump (assuming it goes through a hose on the outlet side of your chiller) your could add a ball valve shut...

    Coffin Keezer Finished!

This is awesome - a man cave "hafta have". Although you might want to consider adding a Patriots logo! All kidding aside, how did you accomplish the lighting?

    Restricting Pump Flow?

I'm missing something here. Don't you have enough water pressure to run hose water through your plate chiller? Why would you add a pump? With the hose water coming from your spigot, you can simply partially close the valve to control the flow.

    "Long term" sanitization for pumps?

I wouldn't leave sanitizer in them for long term storage. Sanitizer is acidic and not friendly over time. I would clean, sanitize, drain completely, plug - and then repeat the clean and sanitize process once you're ready to use them again. You might also want to consider separating the pump...

    Oxygen tank questions

    1) no - connect/disconnect when used. if you're regulator leaks at all, you will have inadvertently left it attached until empty! 2) no - mine always stand upright 3) yes - nothing will be coming out of your carb stone. I give mine a little shot of O2 outside the wort just to be sure I can...

    Tailpiece question

The change in size shouldn't make a difference since the beer will be under enough pressure to keep the CO2 in place. I'm a little more concerned about using 3/16" tubing to shanks at all. You should read a little about sizing draft lines, and here are a couple of references -...

    adding flavour

kev - fruit flavors are relatively easy as most homebrew supply shops (at least in the USA) carry flavoring. I'm guessing that based on your mention of liter sized buckets and spelling of the word "flavour" you're not in the states, so that may be more of a challenge - you'll need to let me...

Keg lid not sealing @ low psi...

You might try replacing the ring/gasket. Old gaskets harden and it may keep them from sealing. Using a keg lube on them also helps in sealing and conditioning the gasket, making it last longer.
