backflush cleaner through corny gas post?

A little crazy unless you run organics (like beer) backwards through your gas post. CO2 doesn't contribute anything that needs cleaning. And you clean it when you clean your kegs, right?

Given plants , what to do

Plant them outside. Google "growing hops" and follow the recommendations.

    Powergrinder

I use a $49 low-speed drill from HFT. No adapters, etc. Here's a link to the build - https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f51/low-cost-simple-grain-mill-394686/ Pretty simple and inexpensive.

Stainless Steel shank with residue in nipple??

Looks like it might be beer stone. How long have you been using it between cleanings? Beer can add a lot of "debris" to components. You should clean between kegs using a commercial bee line cleaner (like BLC or equivalent).

    Is there a specific formula?

    Here's some info I've found on recipe conversion: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f39/dme-grain-conversion-359977/ http://byo.com/recipe-calculations/item/616-extract-to-all-grain-and-back http://jaysbrewingblog.com/2011/11/17/lazy-chart-for-converting-dme-lme-grain/ I'd suggest you spend a few...

    Re-carbonating grolsch bottles

Here's an idea - but I've never tired anything like this. If you have a kegging set up, this may work. I've seen the carb caps that work on 2L soda bottles like this -...

Beer stronger than suppose to be

Your low number of bottles makes it sound like you made a batch that was just over 4 gallons, not 5 like you were expecting. That could push your ABV up to about 7%. I did a quick test of that theory with some brewing software to calculate the potential change in ABV. Brewing software...

    News To Me

UPS and FedEx are not concerned about insuring that taxes have been collected on the contents of the box they are transporting.

    News To Me

I never ship beer to competitions. I ship "packaged yeast samples". And it is illegal to ship via USPS. UPS and Fedex have policies that prevent you form shipping beer. The trick is all in the packaging. I ship "box-in-a-box". First, my beers (or rather yeast samples) are labeled with the...

    Beginner here whats this worth?

This will need a little modification for homebrewing, but not much. The keg belongs to the brewery through the local beer distributor, not to the guy that is selling the refrigerator - it should go back to the brewery. For homebrewing you'll need what's known as a "corny" keg - which is short...

    Beergas Fill Around Boston

I recall that Standard Repair & Welding Supply in Plymouth fills beergas. I had a CO2 tank filled there and asked about beergas a year or so ago.

    Beergas Fill Around Boston

Gorham doesn't do beergas. Great service and pricing on CO2, however.

    Greetings from Upstate South Carolina

I didn't know J.C personally, but he did take my order. He was as fun as he was famous. When you got to the counter to order, he'd yell "Call it". If you weren't ready to order, he say "Step aside", and to keep the line moving, he'd yell "Walk and talk". Like brewdog said, the Beacon's a...

    Micro Matic Flow Control

I've used a similar faucet from MicroMatic, but without flow control - here's the one I bought - http://www.micromatic.com/draft-keg-beer/taps-faucets-pid-4933ROTO.html. I use it to dispense wine, not beer, so there may be some differences - I use perlicks for my beer - and I don't have any...

    Yeast starter for 1.087 og

You'll have a little bit of a challenge in a 2L flask in that the krausen from your starter may blow out the top of your flask, but you can pitch a nice healthy yeast that will work in high gravity beers. Here's how I'd do it - target a ratio of 1 cup DME to 1 Qt (4 cups) of water. For a 2L...
