I use a braid in my mash tun and it works great. But IslandLizard is right about it being a PITA on a brew kettle. First time I used it ended up clogging the tube and had to pick up my 15 gal kettle with 6 gal of wort and pour it into the carboy. I took the tube out and use hop bags now.

I'm an AirGas distributor and we are able to swap out the NI40 (nitrogen) with the IM640 (beer gas) I've not inquired about swapping the CD20 (co2) with the IM640 though but I would think I could since all AirGas really cares about is selling the gas.

I just bought one for $30 off Craigslist. The guy used it 3 times and loved it. The only reason he sold it is because his SWMBO bought him the Hydro & he is upgrading to 10 gal batches. I'm looking forward to using it.
