I built a keezer and it seems that most of the info out there about balancing your system is different from each other. I have a stand up keezer that I plan on keeping at 38°, the height to the faucets from the center of the keg is 2'6", I'm assuming I'll be keeping my regulator at 12° to 14°...

Primary and diacetyl rest are done, I'm cold crashing before racking to the keg for laggering. Just for clarity.

I was just thinking that, unfortunately all I have is flavored vodka and I'm worried about it getting sucked into the fermenter, I'll get some cheap stuff tomorrow. Thanks.

When cold crashing a lager my sanitizer for my blowoff tube freezes, what can I do to avoid that?

I did find a snail trail but there was no damage around it, the areas with damage seemed unlikely for a snail to get to, I guess it could be that ****** squirrel that lives in the area, no big animals are getting in my yard though.

I know there's snails and slugs around my house, could it have been them? Or something else? I noticed the tips have been eaten off a couple bines.

Wow that's an amazing amount of help, thanks guys. I believe the yeast and wort were the same temp when I pitched, and after I got it cooled to 50* I was seeing a decent amount of activity within 12 hours, I was pretty surprised. I took a reading yesterday 10 days later, and my SG was 1.032...

I used one pack of yeast, and I rehydrated it, I think the recipe said to use one. I'll bump it up a few degrees and see how that works. I am using a refractometer but I also verified with my hydrometer, it seems pretty accurate but I'm always skeptical.

This is my setup, I buried 2" pvc, put gravel in them to ground level, and my 10' poles are just sitting in them. They're only 10' but they are pretty sturdy and only cost about $15 a pole. I still got a lot of work to do in my back yard!

I planted my hops a couple weeks ago and wrote down which ones I planted in each location, however I found myself second guessing the location of two of them. I think I may have switched Mt Hood and Goldings. So my question is, will I be able to tell the difference just by looking at them once...

I forgot to add my 5.2 before mashing in, so at about 20 minutes into the mash I added it by just stirring it in. Will this help or hurt me? what if any effects can I expect from doing that?

It's amazing aside from extreme drought lol! The highs are in the mid 80's right now, and all of the other rhizomes I planted a week ago already have small shoots. It's definitely time for them to start growing, I'm just not sure if burying a rhizome with shoots covered in leaves is good or not...
