    Joe's Quick Grape Mead

Made a batch and used S-04. It bubbled the airlock for a month. After two months it still had not cleared so I racked it to a keg anyway. It went from 1.092 to 1.032. I am very pleasantly surprised even though it is warm. It does not taste yeasty. More like grape nehi with a kick. Can't...

Thanks eveyone for the replies. I ordered the 1/4 inch diameter 7221T17 plus 7221T19 and 7221T21. These are 3/8 and 1/2 inch diameter size to take care of sight glasses and blow off tubes.

I found a tube brush in mcmaster.com that I think will work. The part number is 7221T17. I used the hbt search function and that part number in a similar thread was found.

    Dip tube brush supplier?

I have considered it. I have an old .22 cleaning kit that I might dig out and repurpose. Just looking for the best solution.

    Dip tube brush supplier?

I have two now. The first had larger diameter bristles and cleans well but may have been too large. It bent and kinked to the point that seems like it will break at any time. The second, which was to be a replacement and was purchased from a reputable online vender, is too small in diameter...

    Hi from South Florida

I brewed Yuri's pumpkin ale 3 weeks ago and it has been on gas 6 days. Going to have a taste to see how it is coming along. It tasted great coming out of the fermenter but I have been having problems with off tastes after being in the keg after a couple of weeks. I am also going to put...

    Ultrasonic cleaner

Coincidently, the ultrasonic cleaner i bought looks to be the same one shown in the vid link above. It will hold a corny lid plus the two ball lock fittings, orings, and parts. The lid seems to soak up most of the waves so i take it out to clean manually. I still try to clean the rest of...

    Ultrasonic cleaner

I cleaned the small parts with normal methods. I then placed them in the ultrasonic cleaner while I cleaned the kegs and lines. When everything was said and done, I did not notice much in the ultrasonic cleaners basin. Oh well......

    Ultrasonic cleaner

Anyone ever try one to clean small or hard to reach parts like ball lock fittings + parts? Picnic tap or faucet parts? I am looking at one on Amazon that has a stainless basin so it should be ok with homebrew cleansers.

Water sitting in aluminum pot, now bumps

Dark gray color is ok. Just oxidation and sort of seals the aluminum so it does not leach out. Dont know about the bumps.
