"Jesse Evans, co-founder and CEO of Ale Syndicate in Chicago, Illinois (founded in 2012 as a gypsy brewery, opened as an onsite facility in 2014; closed December 2016*)" I bought the common beers this brewery offered (ipa, etc) , It was okay, but was nothing that i would go out of my way to buy...

    Regulators

I did a lot of research, and went taprite and have had no issues. Kegco it appears will stand behind their product, so great customer service, but hit or miss with their regs sometimes (seems to go up and down on the complaints)

    1099, 1098 or 1968

I switched the recipe around, but figured since I'm going imperial on this beer. (8+%) that I might as well try it and report back. Thank you for all the info!

  20. kristiismean

    1099, 1098 or 1968

I really want to try wyeast 1099 Whitbread, but.... Nervous. This will be a standard ESB, 13 lbs Maris, 12 oz crystal 60, 5oz crystal 120. 1 oz fwh cascade, .5 oz fuggle 20, .5 oz fuggle 5. This will ferment at 68 ambient. So, will 1099 give me what one looks for in an ESB, or play it safe...
