    Show us your Kegerator

It is a Home Depot 5.5cu ft deep freezer with thermostat control. I put the bottle on the outside and I can fit 2 5gal and 2 3gal kegs with picnic taps. I am space limited too.

Ghetto-rator. I have young teenagers floating around so I can't quite have taps open to the general public.

    Keg Lines

I have a quick question. how important is it to sanitize the new beer lines and connectors? I forgot to sanitize the last 2 lines that I put in service on new corneys and I'm wondering what will happen. Noob? Yeah.

Off flavor three batches in a row.. so confused!

I had a similar problem and I got a charcoal filter for my water and it resolved the problem.
  5. Petho

    This is correct right?

What kind of a beer is it?

Dropped a pen into my Primary!

I once had a fly land in my open bucket fermenter and promptly sink into the wort. Tasty Fly. I think he tried to drink his way out, didn't work.

First brewday in 12 years. BLAM!

This is embarassing but what is BLAM?

    Yeast Washing Illustrated

What IF there is headspace in my jars? I understand that it is undesireable due to oxygenation but can it be a deal breaker if the yeast is stored for less than a few weeks?

All of my beers lack Flavor!

I am interested in the answer as I suffer from the same problem. I will review my mash temps too.

    Bottling vs kegging

I bottled for years and I too enjoyed cracking open a bottle but I keg exclusively now and won't go back. Its just too easy to keg.

    Bottle carbing

I had consistency problems when I didn't stir the sugar in the bottling bucket well enough. It got better but I never really produced a consistent carbonation product. Kegging was my salvation.

    I'm fed up with bottling!

I just started kegging and it's easy and fast. I don't regret bottling for as long as I did but I am sure glad I went to kegs.

    Corney Questions

Interesting, thanks for the advice, urge. I am kegging another batch next weekend and I'll try the other method. thanks!

    Corney Questions

Seems reasonable. The fellow at the LHBS said that I could hook up the gas to the dip tube side for a few days at high pressure to force carb the batch but I am guessing that is not a good idea if the connectors dont really fit the post properly.

    Corney Questions

I am new to kegging and have a question. I have a 5 gallon corney and it has the pin lock connectors. There are 2 push on connectors, one is grey and one is black. I notice that the grey connector will fit on either post but the black will only fit on one post comfortably. Is there suposed to...

    Better Bottle FYI

I am a big fan of Better Bottles but I have stumbled upon one minor flaw. The have an oilcan effect. I went to raise the bottle out of my swamp cooler and the liquid in the airlock thingamajig got sucked back into the wort. DOH, and of course I dont think I used sanitized water in the airlock...

    Foamy Goodness

I think I did overcarb. I walked down to serving pressure by using the valve and it pours nicely now. I think there is some science to kegging that I have not quite mastered yet but it still beats bottling!

    Foamy Goodness

The output line is 5' at 3/16 ID. I did release the head pressure too.

    Foamy Goodness

First time kegger here. I have a 3 gallon keg, 5 pound bottle, 35 degree keggerator and a party tap. I bought this kegging kit from the local HBS and they assured me that the tubing length and diam is correct. I carbed up at 30psi for 48 hours then dropped the pressure down to 8psi. My beer...
