    Effects of an interrupted boil

I don't think that interruption will have an effect on the fermentability of the wort. You're currently at ~83% attenuation according to my math. Is your fermentation temperature control pretty good? I think that is a decent attenuation number, and you can wait for a couple of extra points to...

    Confirmation jumping to kegging

Sounds good. What do you mean by fill tank? You exchange CO2 tanks as you would a propane tank (unless you have found a place to fill one). So if you have a LHBS, find any CO2 tank on Craigslist and exchange it. Can save you some cash from buying a new tank. Also you will need a liquid ball...

Homebrewer turned brewery owner turned homebrewer

Congrats! Did the same thing actually (much smaller scale it sounds like, and only had one brewery). Brewing ends up being a very small part of owning a brewery. I have been happy to focus more on my home setup and enjoying it more than ever! Good luck on the upcoming brew! Cheers!

    First Time Brew

I wouldn't worry. Yeast will settle out of solution and should clean up. Congrats on your first brew!

Of course, welcome! Let us know how it turns out if you are brewing it again!

    New guy. 1st recipe

Here is an experiment brulosophy did on dry hop length a while back. Shorter (2 days) had much more aroma than the 11 day dry hop. Cheers!

    New guy. 1st recipe

I think you may be dry hopping a bit too long. I have read that 4 days (or less) prior to keg (or bottle) is the sweet spot. Coupled with how you mentioned you had transferred (and likely lost some of those volatiles), this may be a reason your aroma was lacking. And yes on the WP. There is...

    New guy. 1st recipe

First, I think your hop combo is a good one! Been there though when you are expecting this great aroma and it falls short :( I would forget your 5 min additions and make them a WP addition (steep for 15 min). Also maybe try increasing the dry hop amount at least 50%, this should get you closer...

All grain canned wort, so far so good!

Definitely a fan of these. I do however wait until they are on sale, otherwise DME.

    Hello from MN!

I had never heard of them either, but seem well-stocked from their website. Prices seem comparable, maybe grain is a bit pricier than NB.

    Hello from MN!

I did hear Rebel Brewer in Plymouth is doing curbside. Have never heard of them, but a buddy needed some starsan today and told me about it.

    Storage Room to Brew Room

Just posted the DIY vent hood thread, but thought I would share a couple before/after pics of the room itself. Was a storage room in the house we just moved into, and my fantastic wife agreed it would be a good place to brew beer as I make the move to electric brewing! Cheers! Before: After:

DIY Vent Hood From HDPE Panel Sheet

Hello All, Just completed my vent hood build on my way to full electric brewing. I didn't want to spend a bunch on a stainless steel hood so did some browsing at Menard's and came across these for $60. HDPE panels are waterproof, temperature resistant, mold resistant and can be shaped. I'm...

    Hello from MN!

Yeah, and they just stopped free shipping too.. :/ Wish they would at least do curbside pickup. The Milwaukee store is.

    Hello from MN!

Hello all! Been lurking on here for a long time and decided to start contributing, learned a lot of what I know on these forums! Been brewing for 5 years, a friend was doing it and I jumped right into all grain and haven't looked back. Opened a small brewry, sold said brewery, have really loved...

    Water line to garage, cheap

Do you have access to the lines for the laundry room? If so, I agree with Bobby M that PEX would be the way to go. I installed two of these yesterday to run PEX lines to my brew room, easy to install.

How do YOU decide what to make next?

Been brewing for just over 5 years and started by brewing a breadth of styles (~45 currently). I also like reading the history of each beer type. Like most on this thread, I'll find a recipe for the style online or book (Designing Great Beers is fantastic) and tweak it. Now I'm revisiting my...
