    Vinyl tubing oily

I had the same problem and the lines caused a bad taste in the beer. They were very slimy when cold and nothing would clean it off. I switched to the white plastic water line for a fridge watermaker and the problem is gone.

Historical Beer: Kentucky Common "Kiss Yer Cousin" Rye Kentucky Common Ale

I brewed a 5 gallon batch of this and let it sit in primary for 10 days. I crash cooled it and then kegged it yesterday morning. I also force carbed it. I just poured some to try it and I can't believe how tasty this is. It's a little bit sweet but light has a bit of a spicy finish and maybe a...

Warmer Temperature Climates and Immersion Chillers

I like the pool idea and have thought of doing that in the winter. Right now my pool is 90 degrees and our tap water is 85 so I chill to about 90-95 then put the carboy into my chestfreezer fermentation chamber and let it finish cooling off. It doesn't take long to get to pitching temps. @

    Strange beer pour

I don't have a tower just taps coming out of the door of my fridge. I think I have to figure out a way to cool the taps themselves.

    Still no STC-1000 fahrenheit model?

I'm about an hour away from fermenting my first batch with my new Fahrenheit controller. I have been testing it for 2 days and so far so good. The only thing I notice is a 2 degree difference between the actual liquid temperature and what the reading is when I tape the probe to the outside of...

    Still no STC-1000 fahrenheit model?

I just finished my controller last night and I used the Fahrenheit model. The wiring diagram is wrong on the controller and the instructions. The seller sent a note in the box saying that he would add a wiring diagram to his website. Thanks to members here mine appears to work perfect.

    temp controller for chest freezer

I just test wired it and it works perfect! On the diagram(that comes with it) it makes it look like the wires for 2 and3 should be hooked to the white wire and 5. Now it makes sense that they go to each gold. Thank you very much for the help.
