    New Williams O2 regulator

Hey guys, for those of you that have the red Williams Brewing CGA 540 O2 regulator, how are you getting it to seal with the tank? Just metal-on-metal? I've been searching around this morning for a gasket, thinking it'd be an easy part to find, but not having any luck. Is there no such...

    ferm chamber idea

I'm also a big fan of the concept of transporting chilled fluid to make cold air somewhere else. I did that in my Fermoire (LINK) and it served me very well. With just a 5 gallon bucket, a lot of insulation, and three frozen 2-liter bottles of water swapped out every few days, the Fermoire...

Clean In Place - Pump Recomendations

Will absolutely do... I've been "building" for several months now and have no clue when I will actually get it to a point to brew, but I should have things far enough along to fiddle around with the pumps and sprayball inside the kettles in the next week or so I think. I went ahead and ordered...

Clean In Place - Pump Recomendations

Thanks copbrew & yooper! Good advice. I have a sprayball on hand and did manage to find some specs on it... 30psi and a little over 3000GPH were where they benchmarked it. I sold my 809 with my last system, but went back to March again with this one. I have a couple of different models that...

Clean In Place - Pump Recomendations

Hi guys, I'm putting together a 1BBL system and CIP is going to be part of the process. I'm looking for a pump that will handle 170* F, not get eaten away by StarSan/PBW/or any other normal brew cleaning chems, and be able to put out a respectable psi/flow rate to drive the spray ball. I see...

    Sanity check on 60amp wiring

P-J may know what he's doing, but I'm questionable. :) Totally within the realm of possibility that I've interpretted it wrong, but the top left of the diagrams of his that I've tried to learn from all say "Power input from main breaker panel is from a __amp GFCI breaker to a 4 conductor __amp...

    Sanity check on 60amp wiring

I did run across the nuisance trip conversations when splitting off a 120 branch and had ultimately decided that it wasn't going to be a factor because this type of breaker was able to monitor each leg independently when neutral is used, but now I am back to second guessing myself... :) From...

    Sanity check on 60amp wiring

So it looks like for 50' of 10/3 SOOW and 15' of 6/4 SOOW, the guys you referenced came out neck and neck with Temco when shipping is taken into account... Have you had good experience with Wire and Cable To Go? I don't know a thing about Temco... I had just earmarked them along with a...

    Sanity check on 60amp wiring

Thank you... That is kind of what I was thinking too. The less 60a rated things I have to buy, the better!

    Sanity check on 60amp wiring

Oops, I stand corrected.... One of those rare times when being wrong is actually a good thing! Thanks for the link on the cable! It looks like that one is for 10/4... 15' of the 6/4 came out to be about $72 with shipping from them, so a tad more than Temco, but I'm going to need quite a...

    Sanity check on 60amp wiring

Hi folks, I'm slowly putting together a new 1BBL electric system and wanted to see if I could leverage the brainpower of those of you with a more solid electrical background than I have. I'm perfectly comfortable throwing a new 20amp breaker into the panel and doing the end-to-end wiring, but...

    Stout kettles with legs

Anyone using these? I think they would be really cool to have and not build a brew stand, but I'm having a mental block on what I would do with the pumps and "routing valves" that would normally be anchored to said brew stand.... Kind of thinking about a mobile "pump and control" station, but...

Yet another brewtroller build -but this one is mine

Dr_Deathweed! How's it going man? I fell off of the homebrew wagon for a while, but I've been back on it and find myself in a very similar state of the union as you are in.... I recently sold my "BrewFlex" and am planning out a bigger electric system. Almost too many options! Had one...

10 gallon batch on Stout 1 bbl setup?

I just re-read your initial reply and I may have misunderstood... This time around it sounds more like you're not using the HERMS very much because you don't have to, not because it is inadequate for maintaining temps... more for clarification than temp control. In re-reading my own initial...

10 gallon batch on Stout 1 bbl setup?

Thank you! On the batch size, I was starting to piece together a similar conclusion from a thread on another forum... The low end of his site glass started at 10g, and the top of the elements were right there as well so it would be cutting it realllly close. He also pointed out that there...

1bbl - HERMS, RIMS, or direct

Thank you both! Gus, 50 or 60amps are in my future and definitely planning on two elements in the hlt and bk with either 4500's or 5500's... I guess part of the answer to my own question is the ability to quickly heat the HLT while it is in HERMS mode...
