    Yogurt - a question.

I use this yogurt culture by a company called CHR Hansen. A friend gave it to me. Not sure where he got it (might have 5 fingered it from work). It's super concentrated. 1/4 tsp per gallon, so I don't re-pitch.

Hit a wall tonight (maybe before now)....

What is your keg cleaning process? Do you have a bucket blaster, mark's keg/carboy cleaner or homemade equivalent?

Hit a wall tonight (maybe before now)....

Split the 10g into 2 or 4 fermenters with different yeasts.

Why no higher end picnic taps?

You still have to clean your lines. It's easy to take it apart to clean.

    Which kviek?

Have you used either yeast before?

    Which kviek?

The voss is going to add some orange esters and the Lutra isn't going to add much. Either will be fine in my opinion. Do a split batch if you can so you can compare.

Why no higher end picnic taps?

    1-Gallon Brewers UNITE!

Bad/old/expired LME is probably the reason. There are plenty of accounts of that making not so great beer. I personally won't use it.

    What are you drinking now?

Georgetown Lily IPA. Pretty good. Too bad I only had 1.

Why no higher end picnic taps?

I picked up some of the stainless torpedo picnic taps and have been using 1 so far. No complaints. It does feel really heavy and it is kind of cold in your hand.

    What are you drinking now?

Not too bad. Finally something without citra, mosaic, galaxy, etc.

    Cold IPA

I agree. It's made with lager yeast, so why are they calling it an ale? I have tried a few and wasn't impressed. I do like some malt complexity and these had none.

    What are you drinking now?

Track 7 märzen. I can't get enough of this.

    What are you drinking now?

At 11% abv, one is plenty for this old guy.

    What are you drinking now?

Track 7 did one with a similar style label but called it Testarossa auto drive I had the 2nd one when I was in Germany or at least that brand.

    Bottling stinks - kegerator?

One thing that drove me nuts about bottling conditioning was the yeast at the bottom of the bottle when drinking the finished product. Sometimes a little yeast in the glass was fine. Other times it gave an off taste that I wasn't a fan of. In my case, the quality of my beer has improved. Also...

    Bottling stinks - kegerator?

I got a keezer setup about a year ago after bottling for many years. Now I know why people rave about having one. Transferring from fermenter to keg takes no time at all. You can go with inexpensive picnic taps if you're on a budget. If you have the space, go bigger on kegerator size. I also...

How often do you extract brew?

A few times a year. It's nice to have a quick brew day sometimes. I usually base it on the above mentioned 15 minute pale ale.
