    Help with a stir plate

Just bumping this up in case anyone is able to help... can I use what I have to make one stir plate and just forget about breaking it up. I'm getting a little desperate with little time to devote to it.

    No Sparge math help

If you have beersmith just use the BIAB profile for your water volumes. If you don't have it, sign up for the free trial if you haven't already.

    Fastferment conical first batch

I just keep it open from the start. Not sure if this is what you're supposed to do but it worked for me. I also did it your way.. didn't budge at all. After a night I came back and it was all settled. Takes time.

    what grains to stock?

I'm taking part in a group buy with my local club and I'm just curious what grains I should stock up on to have a well rounded supply? I was thinking some pale malt, a little light and dark crystal, some Munich I would like to be able to make IPA's, Pale Ales, Bitters and the odd Belgian...

    Help with a stir plate

If I decided to scrap the idea of sharing the controllers can I move the black/yellow power feed directly into one of the individual potentiometer? and then just mount the whole thing in my stir plate and have 3 'back-ups' if the first one fails?

    Managing production of noticeable alcohols

I had a problem with over attenuation because of extended mashes. What's your mash like?

    Help with a stir plate

I have a 4 fan controller (was hoping to break up and share with brew buddy) and a 12V fan and old 12v power cord. How does this go together? Can I use the connectors or am I going o have to do a little more work.

    would you keg it?

    would you keg it?

I brewed an IPA and it stabilized at 1.005 (I like them dry) 5 day ago. I added some dry hops at that time. Question is how long do you guys normally wait until you cold crash and keg? I'm planning to let it force carb over a week or more at 12psi. The hydrometer sample was pretty tasty...

    Hydrometer help?

You might want to give it a test in plain water as well. I was using mine for over a year and didn't realize it was 4pts low. So now I just adjust the reading.

    day 2 Boil??

Do an over night mash and batch sparge in the morning. I do it and the beers turn out great. I only lose about 9 degrees in about 10hrs. Do a batch sparge and start my boil. If you boil the sparge water the night before you can save a lot of time heating it in the morning as well. Saves a lot of...

    Do I need more yeast?

One pack was fine. Went from 1.071 to 1.005 in 7 days. Fermented like a demon
  14. B

Rookie mistake mixed up the sparge and mash water adds.

Sparge with the lesser volume. It will be fine!

    Do I need more yeast?

I'm going to let it go and see what happens!

    Do I need more yeast?

I brewed up a batch of IPA and my efficiency was much higher than usual. I ended up with an OG of 1.071.. pushing into the IIPA range. I rehydrated one package of US05 and I'm fermenting at 68. It's a 5 gallon batch... should I look into more yeast or let it ride?

    Nailed it!

For $15 you can't go wrong with the RT600C.. accurate, fast and waterproof. I know the thermapen is the Cadillac of thermometers but I couldn't swallow the price. The difference between 2-3 and 5-6 seconds is not worth it.

    Nailed it!

I've finally dialled in my system for some reliable results... man that feels good. I thought I would never get it figured out. :ban: The biggest help was an accurate/fast thermometer. It is such a worthy investment and it paid off today. I would recommend the rt600c to anyone...

    Running Thermometer Probe into Fridge

How is everyone running a thermometer probe into their fridge? I have a mini fridge and I want to use an inkbird controller with a small probe. Should I just run it under the rubber seal and accept the small loss of temperature or do you guys seal it up somehow? Just curious what everyone does.

    Inkbird itc-310t programming help

That looks pretty good to me. I'm not as worried about a a gradual increase.. You could always set to drop a couple degrees in each step. Either way, it's way nicer than what I'm doing now for ferm temps (nothing) Thanks for taking the time to write this up!
