CF10 Users with the conical heating pad:

We test all of our heaters in our walk in cooler which is about 40F. The heaters can get the fermenters up to about 75-80F in those conditions. We can't speak for SS's insulated jacket however. Also as a Pro Tip, you can tape your heater to the cone to increase the thermal transfer.

    New Product Announcement From SPIKE!

Welcome to our Pressure Fail Series. Where we chat about common myths, misconceptions and #fail's of the existing PRV's on the market. Let's begin with what's commonly known as the Bowtie 'spunding valve'. This design was originally intended for use in kegs, but we see users move them to the...

    New Product Announcement From SPIKE!

The new All-In-One is fully adjustable from 0-15psi. Simply twist the top adjustment knob to increase or decrease the pressure inside your fermenter. This allows for use with everything from pressure fermenting to spunding to carbonating to pressure transfers to kegs!

    New Product Announcement From SPIKE!

Unless you've been living under a rock, you know that Spike is coming out with a new All-In-One PRV. But what causes pressure and how does a PRV work? There are some things you need to think about when it comes to how pressure can build inside your vessel during fermentation. So here's a...

    New Product Announcement From SPIKE!

You need a PRV that is a full port design so it can't get clogged. Our gas manifold bundle and other smaller "spunding valves" only have a 1/4" opening or smaller which can easily get clogged. This was specially designed to be able to handle everything safely.

    New Product Announcement From SPIKE!

The Ali-In-One maxes out at 15psi so although the gauge goes higher the PRV can not.

It does not as it has the pressure gauge. We understand what you're saying about 'set and forget' however we've found the graduated marks to be highly inaccurate.

    Spike - Steam Condenser Lid

You can go either route. If you want to conserve water we'd recommend recirculating. With that method you'll use about 5 gallons or so. If you don't want to swap a bucket then you can just let it flow into a drain and it'll use more water.

Safely pressure fermenting with Spike Flex+

If you look on that file you’ll see the top left exploded image has two lines with a (back port) callout which shows the ports.

Safely pressure fermenting with Spike Flex+

Which documents are you referring to? The pictures and User Guide both call out the (3) 1.5" ports on the lid. https://spikebrewing.com/products/flexplus

Spike steam lid used on 65L Brewzilla?

Seems to be some misinformation about the Spike Steam Condensing Lid.... First, BBQ Larry and a few other YouTube'rs got pre-production prototypes of the lid. We did notice that if that kettle was not sitting flat that water could work it's way back into the kettle. That has since been fixed...

    Stainless shiny vs satin

We didn’t have phone support until about 2 weeks ago but in an event email CS and tell them you want a new lid. Ask to speak to Mike if you hit a dead end.

    Stainless shiny vs satin

You sound quite upset about this situation. Have you reached out to our customer support? I'm sure they would send out a new lid for you tomorrow if you just asked politely. I can tell you we've sold 1,000's of Flex's and we've never seen this happen before. We test our material to ensure it's...

    Stainless shiny vs satin

Our stainless is 304 stainless which is the same as everyone else. It’s tested with a XRF scanner to ensure that. That looks to be some sort of pitting from bleach or possibly while fermenting something very acidic. Have you made a cider or kombucha in your Flex by chance? Have you tried...

    Stainless shiny vs satin

For the record we’re not saying brushed is going to lead to bacteria infections. We’re saying it’s easier to clean. That could be with boiled on junk in your brew kettle or a krausen line in your fermenter.

    Stainless shiny vs satin

Ha ha! Sounds like marketing fluff to us. Go ask a company that actually has a production facility and makes tanks for brewing, food and pharma what type of polish is easiest to clean and even required in some applications. (Answer: it’s not a “sleek brushed finish”)
