    I just broke a hydrometer...

I have my refactometer in it's own draw in it's own padded case. I'm considering building a shrine to it.With it's own light source so that nothing else is lighted by it, contaminating it with rouge photons.

    I just broke a hydrometer...

I accidentally broke my hydrometer too, I only had it a few months. I bought a refractometer, and a pipette. All I'm missing now is the white lab coat.

Brewmation: An amazing turnkey brewery (not a Brew-Magic vs B3, but with comparisons)

Pulled the trigger on a custom build that I worked out with Kevin, who has been great. I'll start a new thread once I receive parts.

Brewmation: An amazing turnkey brewery (not a Brew-Magic vs B3, but with comparisons)

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on some stuff from them by the end of the week too. Would it be worth it to anyone if I documented my experience with the system? I think a lot of others already have a brewmation, so I wouldn't expect a large demand.

How do you remove this label

I picked a few boxes of these up at my local home brew shop. Does anyone know how to get this kind of painted on label off?

    Automatic Pellet Hop Dropper

Can't the steam problem be solved with a little metal shoot? I drew a quick ASCII diagram. These look so cool. If your going to add wood. Why not "steampunk" the whole rig? ||| _____/ | BK | -----

10 gallon batches - please check my calculations

Glad everyone is so friendly here. So basically get twice as many 5 gallons as you think you will need. Unless I find a cheap 10-15 corny, in which case get that.. I am assuming there is no issue then with force carbonating two 5 gallon cornys at the same time off of one Co2 tank. Samc, you use...

10 gallon batches - please check my calculations

10 gallons into 5 gallon corny = 5 gallons to drink flat. After extensive research and checking calculations, I can not make this work. As I'm looking to start to put something together, it looks like a lot of people move up to a 10 gallon system. It also seems to be that most people...

    Hello from Upstate NY

I'm in Binghamton. I was planning on brewing in my basement, so I would need to go all electric. Unless I put in an exhaust hood. I do have a detached garage, that gets a little warm, so I don't know if I would want to ferment in it.

    Hello from Upstate NY

Hello from NY. First post. I found this forum on Google. I am an IT professional by trade. I have 2, 5 gallon extract batches started, the first one is nearly complete, 6 long days left. I have the basic Ale pail, secondary glass carboy and small stock pot on the stove setup. Needless...
