    Starter gusher

There are pros and cons to each manufacturing process. For me, I like the variety so I use liquid yeast. I'd much rather "bother with the hassle" than not get the result I want. If you make a narrow range of styles and a there are dry strains that fit those styles, great. Not everyone is into...

    Needs RIMS and Electrical Advice

Then 120v will work just fine (best if a 20a circuit). I did that for a few years before going all in on electric. And I would actually set my strike temp and let the low powered RIMS heat the strike water overnight, and it would be perfect right away in the morning.

    Control

You should just need to 2x the switches/outlets for the pumps from the dual pump schematics. That being said, are you looking to DIY or to purchase a completed panel? I would assume most of the vendors of competed panels could update to a 4-pump situation. I did mine DIY and use 3 pumps (two...

    No oxygen dry hopping

oooooo - and with the valve we could use a servo to open/close...with an Arduino or RPi to interface. and the magnets...electromagnets! now we are dry hopping with minimal O2 and automation!

    Induction based RIMS tube

I think the insulation is a must. I built mine as the iRIMS as BrunDog already mentioned, and it helps a great deal to keep the heat in the tube. With the probe on the outlet of the HEX I have not had any trouble with overshooting temps.

    2-vessel HERMS or 3 vessels?

I haven't seen the issues with protein rests and RIMS, except for those who did not use ULWD elements and the proper set up to remove air pockets. FWIW, I moved to a 2-vessel RIMS (well, the "iRIMS" system covered on the forum a while back) - with a bottom drain MT. Smaller footprint, easy to...

    2-vessel HERMS or 3 vessels?

Are you completely decided that you want to go with a HERMS coil vs RIMS tube?

What size knockout for 1/2 weldless bulkhead

Agreed, I've now used a step bit, punch, and hole saw. The hole saw was by far the best tool for the job (especially on kegs).

    DIY controller vs Prebuilt costs?

    1) How much do you value your time? DIY is going to take much more of an investment. 2) Do you enjoy the challenge? For me, trying things that I want in my build and my enjoyment of making things means that the DIY route was for me. If those are not for you, the kits are less intensive and may...

Selling my Chugger pump as I have made some changes to my brew system. I do have an extra O-ring for it as well. Asking $65 - local pickup in the Minneapolis area preferred, or buyer pays shipping.

    Show me your grain storage

I have a couple Vitals Vaults for base malts, and then use cereal containers for specialty malts. That allows for easy storage of 6-10 specialty malts without taking up large amounts of space. Occasionally Petsmart has deals for the Vitals Vaults, I think I was able to get them for ~$20 apiece.

    Different pumps with Kettle Rims

you're adjusting the flow rates with valves on the output side of both pumps (I hope) - so you will be ok with different pumps. you'd have to do this even if both pumps are the same.
