Where is your temp probe in the flow? I'll have to check, but I think I'm using the CascadePID add-on, and haven't had an issue with it. Also, is it that CBPi is sending the signal to stay on, or are you having issues with the SSR?

Is there potentially a temp setting in the boil mode that is slowing the ramp towards boil? I don’t have any experience with these controllers, but it sounds like that could be a reason causing your slow down.
