    Grainfather!!

there is nothing wrong with the controlller. its the garbage receptacle they used on the box. open that bugger up, put a decent plug end on and your set. this crappy connection will hurt your boil times, i switched mine over to decent stuff and my boil times are great. also, i have like 200+...

    Grainfather!!

you do realize the plug that is burning up is the one thats plugged into the controller directly to the element right? why would anyone use an extension cord? perhaps they had their controller in their bathroom and wanted to see the temp of the boil?

    Grainfather!!

i threw my check valve spring thing out a long time ago. the problem with the plug is just junky chinese electrical components. even the cord ends from homless deathspot are better then those chrome janky ones.

Probiotics, Bacteria Starters, No-Boil, Hop Teas, and more - my first co-pitched Gose

rph, whats your reasoning behind not boiling wort before adding lacto? to me this seems like your relying on bugs in the grain to do the souring, thus not really controlling overall flavor.

The plug on the machine is garbage, including the receptacle. Burned mine up after like 150 brews. I posted instructions on previous pages.

yes its not that bad, just a couple philips screws holding it in, slide the metal bands off the hoses that hold the tubes on the pump pop it out. take out the 4 philips screws that hold the impeller casing onto the pump. Open her up clean it out! its a mag driven impeller so dont break anything...

    Kettle Sour

Listen to RPH guy. Use plantarum (if you want ph <3.5 quickly), get a ph meter, make sure its accurate, know what ph you like to drink, when it reaches the ph you like boil it and add your hop additions as you like. This will kill the lacto and you can add the desired yeast you want for extra...

    Grainfather!!

well after like 150 brews with my machine the pump finally got enough beerscale junk stuck in it to stop it. just removed it, took a toothbrush to the impeller and casing, reinstalled, working great!
