Youre egg yolks havent curdled, they have cooked. Dont let your custard get above 82oC. Dont use a whisk, this just adds air and makes a frothy custard and if you use this for icecream little ice crystals form producing a gritty icecream.
What I have just said is total bollox. If you mix your waste water with RO water to the same ppm as your tap water, you might just as well use tap water. (sorry, Its early).
What are the TDS readings of your waste water?
Anything up to 300ppm should be fine for brewing beer.
I also have a RO/DI unit that I use for my tropical marine fish tank. The waste water they produce is all ways a cause for concern.
First of all dont use RO water for making beer as all the trace elments have been cleaned out so there is no taste to the water. I have done a brew with RO water...

This is my biggest gripe with the pub trade in the UK in general, the profit margin that some, and I repeat, some of the small local pubs make on selling beer/drinks.
It has all ways been 100% of the buying price. ie... the pub buys a pint of beer for £1.00 and sells it to the customer for...

Layer 2 is small clumped trub
Layer 1 is suspended yeast. This is waht you want to pour off and keep. It contains the yeast you want to keep.
If you look closely you can see the yeast settling out between layers 2 and 1
Yes it is Maradonna, or that fat, cheating, hand-balling barsteward, who will only gain the Falkland Islands over my dead body.
Mind you, his second goal was brilliant.
