    Belgian beer fermentation temp steps

I was thinking of trying to speed up the aging by leaving the beer at room temps on Co2 for a few months to see how it would come out and hope it would speed up the process.

Primo RO Water Refill at Walmart

I built my RODI myself, i wanted to start with nothing and ill add in minerals myself, but I wanted a clean slate. Now dont get me wrong, I left some RODI water in a lowes bucket for 2 weeks and opened it up and it was literally eating the plastic bucket slowly. So if you do go DI, make sure...

    Kegs and CO2

I have a 20 lb tank and 2 5lb tanks, the small tank stays in the chest freezer keeping the beer carbed and ready. The 20 lb tank is next to the kegerator feeding my 3 taps. Its been feeding it fo a year already lol.

Sweeter beer - Less Hops ?

as much as some brewers may shun it, add some erythritol. I started doing it cuz no matter what my chocolate stouts wouldnt get sweet. Less hops, higher mash temps, nothing would help, one cup( 5 gal) of erythritol and its been a savior for me.

Beginner - wanting to start with All-Grain?

I started with all grain and dont regret it one bit. If money isnt an issue, go all grain but you will spend more upfront on all grain IMO. Once you spend on everything, then its smooth sailing from there on out. Im using yeast i multiplied about a year ago and still have vials in the freezer...

Frozen yeast 5 years later, not good

Yeah just give it time, my 530 when being woken up takes about 5 days, they are some resilient critters.

    Omega Lutra yeast?

It would honestly make brew day prep so much easier because I can make a pseudo lager but also a super clean ale, ill by this buy the brick when its available.

    Problems with Pils

Could also be that the beer is young, ive noticed that I have to let pils beers sit for a full 2 weeks for the yeast bite to go away, happens most of the time when I make a hefe.

Kegerator CO2 leak, beer sitting for around 3.5 months with no co2 but cold. Ruined?

Look at the color, cold wont keep it from oxidizing. If its a dark beer you might not notice and some co2 will bring it to life, if its a light beer and you see it dark its probably done for. My brother lost a beer i made him for having it off co2 for about a month and in the fridge.

    Yeast Expiration Date Approaching

I had a 6 month expired wlp 530, and for those who have worked with that yeast know its takes days to grow. This packet took 7 days to come alive but still worked perfectly. Yeast is some resilient stuff.
