    Sparge arm

That thing sucks... I've seen 7 so far either trashed or given away. I know 2 that were then re-given away again... I use a sprinkler head, not really an issue with heat loss but when I get my new keggle done, I'll be switching to the hose method...

    Star San Dispenser?

Or mix it with Distilled Water and add to a spray bottle... then you spritz your ferment bucket and you ready to ferment... I take my spray bottle camping, beach, hunting, plinking anywhere I think I may need to spritz a surface for food service...

    DIY Pint Glass Etching

That's most excellent... I too was inspired by the carboy etching and have been wanting to do this for some time... Much more inspired now....

Computer fan stir plate- how many magnets?

Tupperware box with 1 HDD magnet spins my 1 and 2 inch bars. The only prob is the tupperware flexes and a full 2l flask bottoms out occasionally. Needs more fine tuning.

    Do not order from stir-plate.com

Heres a link for a thread update... Found this link on another site... http://www.whnt.com/news/whnt-home-brew-business-investigation-021110,0,7790979.story?page=1 From the article: HUNTSVILLE, AL - Budweiser may be the king of beers but some consumers claim a Tennessee Valley man may be...

Corny Kegs - Ball or Pin Lock

One other thing to keep in mind... If using a Sanyo 1206 kegerator or the likes, you can get 4 kegs inside. You will find that ball lock kegs won't fit into the back of the rig.... Pin locks fit fine. The front 2 slots will fit the ball locks. I can fit: 4 Pin Locks 2 Pin locks...

    spigot infection

I've been using my spigots for years. One has been in use as a primary fermenter for almost 3 years. The other is at two years. Neither have ever been taken apart as I could never get them apart. The hot water trick helped a lot. My spigot looks like the B3 spigot: My Results...

    RIMS for Dummies

Pol, Thanks that was very helpful. I think propane is my fuel for now and the RIMs tube for maintaining my mash temps.

    RIMS for Dummies

And for 10 Gal batches, can the dual 2K elements handle that too or is that just pushing it?

    RIMS for Dummies

Thanks for the reply... My house was wired with aluminum wiring (Yuk) I have replaced some of the wire and run a 30A circuit to the garage that I split to a 20 and 15 ( I never max them out at the same time, 15 A for music and light, 20 A for tools.) Note other than the march pump, I won't use...

    Keggle insulation

I like the idea of the closed cell insulate but I have a question for the direct fire Reflectix users. Do you keep the Reflectix on the MT while your heating the water or do you slip / wrap once doghed in?

Would Starsan do anything for my "friends" shoes?

Star San in the shoes helped but did not solve the stinky shoes my son had. It does work great for sanitizing everything in the kitchen as well as while camping. Soaking sponges really helps the sponge smell... temporarily.

    CO2 regulator pressure climbing..??

Hmm I have this on one regulator and my tank/regulators are external. I set the pressure on the fall rather than the rise. Once set at 10, it usually doesn't change. I probably should swap the pressures between them.... one for soda/force carb and the other for beer...

    bending dip tube

I don't get it... Why are you shortening/bending your dip tubes? None of mine are cut and they serve just fine. Yeah sediment on the first pour... no biggie I toss that into the hop fields for the hop gods/goddess'

    Dirty Better Bottle...

I recently pulled my glass carboys out to loan to my bro for wine. I saw a film that I knew was there but never really worried about it. I've been using a TSP/OxyClean mixture (and my brush) to break it down. I wonder if what I hit and what plagues the BB people is simply beer stone...

A new beer line cooling thread!

Or put a copper pipe sleeve over each beer line in the tower. Then let the copper extend in the kegerator to passively transfer the cold from the beer compartment up into the tower.
