this is what the kit that i received with beginner class was called (at LHBS)

secondary "fermentation" is not really a fermentation unless you added more sugars for the yeast to eat :D

Another thought would be if your grand parents don't want you brewing in their house, then either get their permission or move out? Do you really want to disrespect them and yourself by hiding and being dishonest? What good can come of that?

After an inch or so of wort was in my BB, I positioned the tube to whirlpool the wort and poured in the dissolved priming sugar. Seemed to work pretty well.
