    History of Beer?

Did a quick search and the name of the book is "The Complete Joy of Homebrewing" Volume:whatever...I have "2", I guess that I need to update;)

    History of Beer?

I've been going by the...forgive me if I misspell, but anyway...homebrewer's bible by Charles Papazain. Not the name of the book, but you should be able to find it on a google search, good luck! A lot of info, but I must say that I have probably learned just as much, if not more, from this forum.

What I did for beer today

I'm with ya man, I HATE bottling, but until I can afford to get a regulator kit and some kegs, I'm pretty much right with you there! Luckily I had a bunch of bottles from my Dad and I's stash from years ago, but it has been a real beer(BEAR) getting some of them cleaned!

Help! condensation on walls during brewing

We've had problems in our house, because it's new and pretty airtight. Had to get a dehumidifier, because when the air conditioner wasn't running and it got cold outside my humidity inside was running almost 70% and it was raining inside. Got it down to 40-50% now and haven't had anymore...

Is there a name for it?

How about teenage beer...developed enough to be an adult, but still too dumb to know better !)

    5 months in primary

Wow, that would drive me nuts...I'd have that batch ruined by just flipping the light on, and looking at it all of the time!

    Fermenting on top of trub?

Well...I chickened out! Maybe I'll do it next time, just too scared of an infection.

    Fermenting on top of trub?

Thanks, will definitely read...I'm going to bottle tomorrow, and I'd also like to brew at the same time! Thanks again.

    How does everyone keep up?

I agree wholeheartedly, but I am married with 3 kids, 2 dogs (inside), and 2 dogs outside! I started building our house 2 years ago, it's about 85% done, and we live in it...drinking is just about all that I can stomach anymore! I wish that I had a football league close to me though, because...

    Fermenting on top of trub?

I know that I've read about this before (can't seem to find it though), but has anyone had success brewing the same day that you bottle, and just reusing the trub for your next batch?

    Drunken Farmer

I clicked on this thread because I thought you needed help to plant straighter rows after a few beers, sorry that I can't be any help.

Anyone dealt with smelly well water?

I set my house up with a water system that comes from our pond. Bought my system from vitasalus, I have been very happy thus far. They sell units for all kinds of problems (sulfur smell included). You might give it a try, my water may be in question with people that visit, but hey, I make...

    How does everyone keep up?

Thanks to all, didn't realize I'd get this type of response this quick...great ideas, I will definitely implement some (or all) of them into my system. Thanks, again! BTW drinking less? Probably not an option for me, but thanks for identifying my problem ;)

Non Sour Beer with slight sourness

I agree with the cheap, and have had good luck with it as well. Glad to know that I AM using a quality product after all! Thanks

Non Sour Beer with slight sourness

I'm a newbie, and use us-05 as well, but I've read that this yeast strain can leave exactly what you're describing as far as taste goes...trying to narrow down a similar sensation as well.

What are you drinking as you see this thread?

Having an extract "cream ale"...don't know if that's the "true" definition of what I'm drinking, but I made it, and I LOVE it! A little afterbite that I'm not crazy about, but hey, I made it, can't be all that bad...right?

    How does everyone keep up?

Thanks, been trying to brew about every two weeks (three at the most (5 gallons)). I haven't run out of mine yet, but I fear that I will unless I start amping it up a little bit. Like I said, usually I supplement with "other" beers, but I'm getting to the point that I really don't want to...
