I do it all the time. I modified a lid to add a gas in connector and will run a line from my fermonster spigot to liquid out on the keg, and one from the gas in on the keg to the gas in connector on my modified lid.

I had to cut the center piece off the door and a little off the bottom.

This certainly strikes me as something you "want" and not "need"...and I want one!

Maybe he is capturing the gasses in another vessel/keg and reclaiming them later for carbonation?? I’ve seen several threads where people will use the gas from the FV to purge liquid (and O2) from a SV.

What does a Raspberry set up do differently than an old phone? I've never considered going that route but I like to tinker.

If you go to Ft Collins I personally like Odell’s better than NBel. The patio is far more relaxing IMO.
