    SS Brewtech Brew Bucket

It comes with a stopper you can put your airlock in for the blow off. There is also a separately sold elbow barb which fits 1/2" ID vinyl tubing. I have one and it works well if height is a concern. You are correct that there is no trub dump so the yeast can't be removed before kegging. This...

    Testing Gravity with Pipettes

I only use my pipettes pre-boil so I don't sanitize them. I use one until I either lose it or it gets dried up wort in the bulb because I forgot to rinse it with water. Once I'm out of pipettes I'll probably switch to a small syringe since it can be taken apart and cleaned easily.

If I'm recirculating my mash through herms coil, do I really count "deadspace" under my falsebottom?

You need to have all the grains submerged. As far as dead space is concerned, when figuring out how much strike water you need for the mash you have to calculate the full dead space in order to get enough water to submerge the grain. However, if you a trying to calculate the total water needed...

    Filtering

Also, since you are carbonating with sugar, you will have sediment in the bottles, it's unavoidable. Yeast is necessary to consume the sugar for carbonation and that will drop out of suspension in the bottle.

    Extract efficiency vs sparge steps

With batch sparging each additional sparge should rinse more sugars assuming that the previous step left some behind, so from that aspect yes you should see added efficiency from the extra step. However, I only do 5 gallon batches so I don't have experience with the grain bills required for 10...

    Temperature after fermentation complete question

Assuming they are ales I see no problem with that. I'll usually bump the temp controller up to room temp after fermentation is done before I get around to kegging. I haven't tried a lager yet so I can't comment on them.

    Left my fridge open!

I've never used that yeast but agree with the others, you should be fine.

    Left my fridge open!

What yeast did you use? While I wouldn't start fermenting that high, 86 F isn't insanely high if it's a saison. You may get a lot more yeast character than expected.

What was your biggest mess up when doing a homebrew??

Biggest mess: Brewing in the garage because it was 18 F for the high that day and snowing. Was filling the mash tun with garden hose to clean it. Heard a loud sound that gave me flashbacks of when a water pipe broke and flooded the basement once. In a panic I ran inside and downstairs expecting...

    High flow rate for recirculation

I don't see why you couldn't do all of it. I've never conditioned my grain, made the mistake of buying 10 lbs of rice hulls so I have a lifetime supply, but from what I've read conditioning eliminates the need for hulls for most beers so it would be overkill to both condition grains and use...

    Distilled water?

I used distilled water before I got an RO System. If you are looking to add minerals to build a water profile to the style you are brewing then distilled works well. If you just want to use the water "as is" then I'd use Spring Water. Before I started paying attention to water chemistry I tried...

    Reflectix insulation and neoprene jackets

If your electric setup uses an element in the pot then I'd say leave them on but if it's sitting on an electric element then personally I would take it off. I started off doing boils on an electric stove and had a Reflectix wrap on my kettle, it started to melt so I removed it.

    Growler Conditioning

You'll likely be fine but if you wanted peace of mind you could put them in a plastic bin or bucket with a lid, something to contain any potential mess.

    Coriander and Oranges

Can't help with the oranges but the one time I bought coriander from a brew shop it was just whole coriander seeds, so the only potential difference is whether you get it from the grocery store whole or ground. If whole you need to crack it open. I just put it in a Ziploc bag and beat it with...

    Brewtech Brew Bucket Volume Accuracy

I did check the 20 L line on mine when I checked the 5 Gallon, it was slightly more than 5.5 gallons.

    Brewtech Brew Bucket Volume Accuracy

Mine isn't accurate, or at least the 5 Gallon line isn't, it's about 5.2 gallons. I just adjusted my recipes to 5.25 gallon batches to compensate.

How Long Can a Keg of Ale be Stored Unrefrigerated?

The longest I've gone is 4-5 days so I don't have personal experience with longer but it depends on the beer style, a NEIPA will not hold up nearly as well as a barleywine for example.

How Long Can a Keg of Ale be Stored Unrefrigerated?

It depends on the beer style and how long it sits. As long as the keg is purged of O2 it can sit for a while but if it's a hoppy beer the flavor may fade a bit.

Flow Control Faucet directly on keg.

Thanks @brewbama! I'll check out those disconnects.

Flow Control Faucet directly on keg.

In researching options for using a small keg to bring beer to outings I came across adapters to attach a regular faucet (no flow control) directly to the keg. Searching on here they seem to work alright if you use low pressure. I also found that Williams Brewing has a setup with an Intertap...
