    All in one system sparging

I couldn't agree more. For me, I really think there is something to be said about improving and refining (my) process - after all this is a hobby.

    All in one system sparging

I had great success with this method this weekend, almost 10 additional points in my mash efficiency.

    All in one system sparging

I've been brewing on a 10.5 gallon Foundry using 240v for the past year. My efficiencies have been in the toilet most of the time too (~60s), this is mashing full volume. Starting with my next batch this weekend I'm going to start sparging and see how that effects my numbers. I really have...

What are you paying to refill/exchange 10# co2 tanks?

The last time I got a tank swap, I think my 5lb tank cost around $22 in New Jersey.

    First time reusing yeast cake

I'll definitely report back my results. I have brewed this beer once before however the first time I used US-05, and this batch I used WLP-550--so I definitely expect there to be differences regardless of pitch rate.

    First time reusing yeast cake

So I’ve been brewing on and off for the past 9 years and for awhile I’ve been interested in reusing yeast but I’ve never actually done it. For the first time today I reused an entire yeast cake and I’m pretty excited. During my brew day I kegged a batch that was in my fermenter, then cooled my...

I actually grew my own using this link. It was pretty simple and I'd recommend giving it a try.

    Winter Seasonal Beer Christmas Ale

I'm gonna brew a modified version of this tomorrow. I'm dropping the spices, subbing the honey/molasses for D90 Candi Syrup, and using Magnum for both the 60 and 20 min additions. I also plan to pitch WLP550. Pretty excited to try it out, omitting the spices since it won't have as much time as...

    Candle

It's been awhile since I made candles, never thought about combining it with homebrewing. Hop oils are a great idea. Interested to see other responses.

    Stir plates

The stir plate you linked will definitely work. If you check the reviews, there are even people that have posted pictures using it for this very purpose. Edit: although it does seem there are a good number of poor reviews too, so take it with a grain of salt. My stir plate is simply a...
